THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!


Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

[ Oh gosh that was a loud outburst--Sam jumps and fidgets with his hands together in front of him. ]

I...er, yes?? But not for good or anything--at least, I don't know if I can do it for good... It only happens when I touch someone.

[Not for good. Well, he's a little disappointed. He wants to be fixed.]

But maybe it could be for good? If you tried harder? You said you can't control it yet, right?

Yeah... We don't know when it started or how it works yet. That's why I got sent here. [ He's still not entirely sure about it, honestly. It's a little freaky to know that when he touches someone it undoes all that. ]

I don't know if I could make it for good...I could try?

So you could fix me, maybe.

You'd really do that for me?

[It almost seems too good to be true. But maybe it could work!]

I could definitely try! I think you should like who you are...but if you think you might hurt someone 'cause of it, I'll definitely help you.

It's nice to meet you Eren! [ That's a Name--and a victory. For him that's confirmation enough of their being friends, and although he's been reluctant to do it since arriving Sam holds out his hand to Eren in greeting.

I don't know if it's nice to meet you, because I don't want to be here.

[It would be for everyone's good, including Sam's! Eren may not be the best friend to have. But he means well! NOT THAT THEY ARE FRIENDS.]

[After a moment, he holds out his hand. At least if he touches Sam, he'll be normal for a little while, even if he doesn't feel any different.]

[ FRIENDS FOREVER, DEAL WITH IT. Handshake seals the deal and Sam's going to have the biggest grin ever as he gives him an enthusiastic shake. ]

Hehe, anytime! What's your power anyway??

[More like friends never! A handshake is not a contract, Sam! Eren has not agreed to anything.

And talking about his power makes him uncomfortable. But it's only fair that he tell Sam, especially if Sam's going to fix him.]

Uh... I turn into a monster.

[sugoooi]

Hey, c'mon! That's no way to talk about yourself...! You're not a monster. [ He figures it's just Eren giving himself a hard time...yep. ]

[garganteren]

No, I mean it! A huge monster, like—twenty feet tall. Or taller.

[It's taller, but his memory of what happened is all a blur.]

So yeah, I am a monster, a real one.

Sam barely reaches 5'3" and Eren grows by fifteen feet with his power?! ]

You're fine the way you are, you don't need to be taller! Your height doesn't matter, it's what you do with it!

[ EREN...that almost sounded kind and encouraging. Sam couldn't be more touched--someone who hates himself, offering him words of support!Sam might shed a tear. ]

What? You don't need to be a monster to stand tall.

That's what's so great about ordinary humans! They make do with what they have!

I could do that too...as a mutant....

[Oh no... don't be sad, Sam! Even though you are NOT FRIENDS, Eren doesn't want you to be sad.]

Yeah... you could save other people, like me! It doesn't matter how tall you are!

Me? Uh, not really, I'm just a guy!

[He doesn't think of himself as particularly nice, especially not to mutants. He wasn't even trying to be nice! He still doesn't like mutants.]

[ Accept his praise and be thankful!! Sam was touched and that is criteria enough for him. ]

[That was not his intention, he was just saying what he meant. Like he always does.]
