THE TEST DRIVE MEME

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

We also ask that you please pardon our dust. We're working very hard to get this game up and running and hope to be open by September 1st!

[Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap caught. There's not much he can do to hide it now, but he does drop his grin immediately. He wasn't enjoying it, no way.]

No, not exactly. It's Featherman. [Power Rangers... He's heard of it. That's that American show where they dub and splice tokusatsu shows with non-Japanese actors for the uncostumed parts, isn't it? Ken doesn't understand why they do that.]

Is it like Power Rangers? I'm just saying because it certainly looks like it. At least from what I remember.

It's Phoenix Ranger Featherman R, a tokusatsu sentai show. Power Rangers is made by splicing dubbed action scenes from shows like this with re-filmed scenes for the parts where they aren't transformed. So...I guess they're similar.

[He'd never say it aloud, but he thinks the original shows are probably better.]

It's kind of childish, really. [Don't be fooled, he loves it.] My aunt sends me this stuff all the time, so I end up watching just to understand her.

That's Aiya-, uh, Kaho Aiyama. She's Pink Argus, or Feather Pink. She's really rich and just about everyone's love interest.

[She's not his favorite. He liked her old actress better... But she is really pretty and he might have a bit of a fanboy crush on the character herself.]

I don't know... Maybe one of Ho- Arisu Hoshizawa's, Blue Swan's alter-ego, costumes would be better? Her clothes are a bit more fun and modern.

The blue one - she's the youngest Featherman, she's always teasing the others and talking back to the commander, but she's really smart. There she is!

[The girl on the screen is younger, dressed more casually than the first. Pink is high society and classy, but Blue is modern and cool.]

New York is the fashion capital of the WORLD, man! You couldn't even imagine all those storefronts! It was impossible to choose, but hey, look at me now! I haven't looked this good in years. It's amazing what a cute designer dress can do for one's spirits.

LA comes pretty close, though movies are more our thing I guess. I don't know a lot about fashion. My...mom had magazines, but that's about as far as it went.
