THE TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello, True Believers!
This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!
Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag, as well as the weekly updates to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

Labrys | Persona 4: Arena
[Cybernetic arms and limbs were a pain... except in one situation: running. Oh, sure, she could definitely go into the danger room and bash in a few robots, but out on the track was where she felt the most free. And as she got faster and faster, the wind would pick up, billowing her ponytail and dull the hum of her hydraulics. Faster still and it would even feel like flying.]
[What made it odd, unfortunately, was the fact that New York was having one of the biggest snow seasons of the year. And as the snow and ice began to build up on her feet, she failed to recognize that her balance was getting precariously unsteady. Failed to notice, of course, when she slipped and headed square-on through the fence. Instinctively, she changed her body into her metallic one and plowed straight through... hoping that nobody was on the other side.]
Option 2: Action
[Many people, when they first visit, has a lot of different things with them when they first visit. Labrys only had a handful of old uniforms, a few personals, and one other thing. Lying on her bed (which was sagging due to her weight), she lifted up this scrap of paper up into the air. Barely blinking, not even saying a word.]
[Clearly, she needed to be bothered.]
Option 3: Network
[A timid and quiet voice might be heard on the network. Whoever it is apparently doesn't want to be seen.]
So 'um, nice day we're havin', huh? Just... really nice and snowy, y'know. Pretty good day with nothin' major goin' on, yeah?
Sooo... um... let's jus' say dat maybe the girl's toilet on the third floor of the left wing sort of... shattered. I think it might need some repairin'. It's probably bad design or something, heh.
...yeah I don't know how it happened either!
Option 2
Hey. Everything alright?

Mona! Yeah! Yes! Yeah!!
How are you??
[A little too empathic?]

[Seriously did not need any beds being broken today.]
I'm alright. I went to the pool for a swim, think I ended up staying longer than I was planning.
no subject
Yeah? You're not one of them girls that get worried about a few wrinkles, are yahs?
...does your skin even get pruney?
no subject
Actually? Those are some pretty nice perks to have, all things considered.

[Catherine's face flattened.]
Alright alright, nobody likes a braggart!
no subject
Come on, let's hear it!

[She pauses and thinks it over.]
Well, a lot of folks would probably look at me and think it's this. [She extends her arm out to the side, while her thigh also gets a good whack, giving a low metal clanging sound.] But this was extra.
[She gets up off of her bed.] My real ability is I can do is... [And gradually her face becomes one solid piece of metal. She lifts up her shirt to show that this effect has occurred everywhere where she has exposed skin. Even her hair color now makes more sense, as it matches the blue luster of the metal.]
no subject
[Mona Lisa just stares at her transforming roommate.]
That's amazing, you'd be able to take one heck of a beating like that!
no subject
[She seems able to talk, but in this form it is sharp and steely, while still maintaining her tone.]
Ain't that the truth?
[She hikes up her metal skirt, seeing a few scuff marks from where she hit herself just moments ago.]
The other part's a bit more subtle, but ya see this?
[She shows the rather minor damage.]
Network
Miss Labrys, what exactly have you been doing?
no subject
...peein'?
no subject
And how does that result in a shattered toilet, hmm?
no subject
I slipped getting up.
no subject
...I see. I would ask you to be more careful. No matter, this will be repaired within the week.
no subject
Sorry, I didn't mean to cause any trouble. It's kind of embarassin' you know?
...guess they made me too good, huh?
no subject
no subject
No, I'm alright. I didn't break nothing, and a part of my hip'll bruise. It'll be fine about half a week.
