Chun-Li | Street Fighter
Character Journal:
Canon: Street Fighter
Brief Personality: In case you're not familiar with Street Fighter canon, Chun-li is basically a super pro-justice and competitive and awesome person. She is a mostly traditional Lawful Good, though she's been known to go against direct orders for the greater good, too. Plus she loves kids, so this is basically the perfect job for her.
Brief AU History: Chun-li grew up idolizing her dad, an inspector in the Ministry of Public Defense in China. She had the great opportunity to work with him directly on a case that unfortunately ended in his death. She joined Interpol and gained a global reputation as a Super Cop. Unfortunately, mutant-human tension around the eastern hemisphere forced Interpol to keep her tied to a desk in Lyon, and then in Beijing when tensions in France got stronger. Xavier worked with her superiors and they offered her an assignment at school knowing it was a crime in itself to waste her talents filing paperwork all day. Of course she accepted.

FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: While she wasn't at school, she does have a HUGE reputation. She is China's equivalent of Captain America, after all. So your character will have definitely have heard of her, and if they used to run around in criminal underground or law enforcement circles, they'll likely have even had in-person interaction with her previously.
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Chun-li is basically the new drill sergeant. Any character in an X-team, looking to join an X-team, or a candidate for joining the X-Men proper, will need to take her training courses. And she will not be gentle.
Beyond that, however, I want her to form close bonds with her students as well. She has a deep love of children and will attach herself to younger kids especially well (possibly even adopting them who knows). And for fellow faculty, she definitely wants people that will both bring out her competitive edge and friends in general.

Canon: Touhou Project
Brief Personality: Feral, Nervous and unsure to a point. When she gets to know people, she's curious and willing to learn.
Brief AU History: Feral child who does not remember what happened before she became feral. Normally curious and usually happy..unless you upset her. Still learning to trust.
Joined School: Arriving today! Because people would have noticed if she was back before now
FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: She was released from stasis and returned home. After a while she was convinced that it was better for her to return and learn more instead of fighting alongside everyone.

Canon: Suikoden II
Brief Personality: Oulan always tries to make the people around her feel safe but also has a hair trigger and will go from friendly to uppercutting you through the ceiling in about a half a second if you do something to cross her.
Brief AU History: Oulan grew up training in boxing and came into her powers after breaking the jaw of a shitty boy at the gym. The owner of the gym trained her and helped her hone her powers. She worked as a bouncer for a while then got a job in security and made a name for herself. She was fired after accidentally using her powers where people could witness it and then was offered a job at the institute.
Joined School: Just arrived
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: I really want her to form bonds with the more uncomfortable female students. That's who she is here for. I'd also love some people who do set off her hair trigger. I also really want sparring partners who will help her progress her training and skill. people who will make her want to better herself. Really I just want to see where things go with her character.

Eren Yeager | Attack on Titan
Character Journal:
Canon: Attack on Titan
Brief Personality: Eren is a very angry and traumatized 14 year old, but at heart, he is a kind and compassionate young man who wants what's best for people. He's troubled following the deaths of his parents, and he is having difficulty coming to terms with the fact that he's a mutant. He has a bad temper and tends to fly off the handle, but he's earnest and hard-working.
Brief AU History: When Eren was young, his mother was killed by mutants, and his father was declared missing, believed dead. He was adopted by a splinter group of the Friends of Humanity and raised by them, sheltered and taught to hate and fear mutants. When his mutant powers manifested, it was in just about the worst way possible. There were casualties. Eren's adoptive family decided to euthanize him, and Eren, in shock, didn't protest. However, an operative working for the X-Men realized what was about to happen and rescued Eren.
Joined School: Eren was a student at the Institute last year for a few months. However, shortly after the holidays, he had a mental breakdown. Only a few members of the faculty are aware of this fact, but anyone who knew him will have noticed that he suddenly disappeared. If anyone asked after him and wanted to contact him, they would have been given an address, so they could send him letters. Depending on who wrote him, he might have written back. If your character has existing CR with Eren, just ask me about it and we can work it out.
FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: Eren has been undergoing treatment for his mental health problems at a separate facility. He has just been deemed ready to rejoin the student population at the Institute, but the administration is still keeping an eye on him. Eren's studies have been started over. Considering his health problems, he wasn't penalized for not attending classes last semester. He is now actually going to class! He is also a bit calmer.
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: I'm up for just about anything! I'd especially like to have some faculty/staff mentors for Eren. People who will be understanding and patient with him. It is fairly easy to get negative CR with him, for obvious reasons, but it is also not impossible to get on his good side. When people are nice to him, he has a hard time maintaining hostility for long. Enemies and friends are both welcome. And anything in between.

Canon: The Wicked Years
Brief Personality: Dolorous Edd+war guilt+mutant radicalism+Well Done Son Guy
Brief AU History: Son of a famous mutant insurgent in Oz (which is in the North Atlantic, about at the level of Gibraltar). Joined the army when she died, did some bad stuff under orders as a grunt, got himself a boyfriend there, found out the army was using his mother's research, decided to burn all the things. Most recently involved in the riots.
Joined School: about 8 months ago
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:
-Liir is a mutant radical. That means he needs both political friends and enemies. People who expect things out of him because of his heritage (which will take some digging to find) are especially appreciated.
-People need to help him work through his guilt from his time in the army. Someone who has experience working with vets who did bad stuff might help.
-busybodies who can help him get over his shyness a bit and learn to have fun

Canon: Mass Effect
Brief Personality:
A shy, socially awkward nerd. This is the person who canonly googled someone she had a crush on instead of talking to them, then told them they would be a "fascinating subject for an in-depth study." She isn't very good at this.
Brief AU History:
Liara's mother is the spiritual leader to a liberal social movement in South Africa. However, because mutant acceptance is tenuous at best, she has always hidden her mutant appearance and heritage. As such, when Liara was born with extensive physical mutations herself, she pretty much decided she would keep her hidden from the public. There was homeschooling, a private doctor, the works. ANYWAY, long story short, Liara got restless and after enough wheedling, her mother agreed to let her attend college at Xavier's.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:
She's new, so anything really. I mean, obviously, I would like for her to awkwardly attempt to make friends and put her foot in her mouth a lot, but beyond that, maybe someone who will get her involved in ill-advised teenage hijinks? She's very naive in some respects, so it would be easy to lead her around by the nose.
Also, if your character is the type to know about social justice movements in South Africa, I think it would be hilarious if someone asked Liara if she's related to Benezia T'Soni, so she can lie badly about it.
Finally, she is easily dazzled by confidence and an at least outward appearance of competence, so ~role models~ could be fun.

Canon: Kaze to Ki no Uta
Brief Personality: Cool, haughty, and devious. Gilbert presents himself as a cultured child of French high society (which is sort of true), but underneath that is a suspicious and defensive youth with a very delicate sense of pride and a hedonistic streak that's far too developed for his age. He's quick to flirt, quicker to form a grudge, and, as a avowed junior mutant supremacist, has no taste for things like "human morals" or "social decency." He's a very difficult kid, in other words...though, underneath that, there's a thoroughly abused and poorly socialized child who really doesn't know much else.
Brief AU History: Gilbert's the bastard son of an aristocratic, French family. His empathic powers manifested at birth, nearly driving his mother to murder him in his crib, after which his legal parents abandoned him, leaving him to be cared for by servants at their Marseilles estate. Eventually, those servants were replaced by his mutant supremacist "uncle" Auguste, who abusively raised him to despise human society.
After Gilbert was violently abducted by an acquaintance of Auguste's who recognized the boy's powers, the pair relocated to Paris, where Gilbert was briefly the darling of some of the city's artistic circles. But, by that point, his relationship with Auguste had grown deeply twisted, and he ended up fleeing their home to seek refuge with a local commune of mutant artists. Auguste sought to reclaim him, leading to a public clash that the Cocteau family was forced to cover up in the media...and to their insistence that something be done about Gilbert to keep him out of their hair. This led to him being shipped off to America and the Xavier Institute, much to his dismay.
Joined School: February of this year.
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: He has a small plotting post with a few ideas on the most recent Weekly Update, if anyone's interested!
He's also always in the market for more fellow delinquents and/or mutant radicals to enable, and I'd love to have him forced into some established guidance counselor or tutoring sessions with a staff member? He's fitfully going to classes instead of totally boycotting them after Liir guilted him out of that plan, but that just means he's looking for new ways to be a problem student.

Canon: Inazuma Eleven GO!
Brief Personality: Shindou's a serious and polite teenager who focuses a lot on his responsibilities to others - family, schoolmates, adults, etc. He tries very hard to put up a strong front so he won't let anyone down! But he's also a very emotional and (prior to his arrival at the Institute) rather sheltered, little rich kid who likes classical music and cats and sometimes get overwhelmed and just wants to cry or hit someone while blasting Beethoven. Or something like that. He's got a clever, strategic mind but is none-too-worldly, can be rigidly assertive in the face of one conflict and threatening to disappear off into a corner in tears come the next.
Brief AU History: From a fabulously, stupidly wealthy, Japanese background. Grew up in Tokyo, didn't have any problems hiding his powers until a shady group scouting for mutants outed him in front of his school's soccer club. Became mildly famous for his school winning a national football/soccer championship with open mutants on the team roster...and also for helping to shutter an abusive training center for young mutants run by said shady organization.
Afterwards, joined Xavier's and gradually got drawn into joining up as an X-Men trainee. Saw field action on at least a few occasions before Jean Grey went all Phoenix and froze him in time for a few years. Is back after five years of stasis as of the start of this term and gradually getting back into the swing of things.
Joined School: Fall Semester, 2012, as a high school freshman. Re-joined at the start of the current school year as a sophomore. He's one of the kids who were stuck in stasis following the Phoenix Incident.
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: This recent plotting post covers most of the specifics I have in mind for him right now! Though, besides all that, Team Fabulous Hair still needed to get into the Danger Room, and I'm always fond of rounding up more negative CR for Shindou?
