Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

Bigby is back (Bigby Wolf / Wolf Among Us)

How many months had it been since he'd resigned and moved back to the city? Well, too many. He thought the safety of Mutant Town was more important, but, well... honestly, he missed his students and Christelle too much to stay away for long. And coming back just as a booty call every once in a while just doesn't sit well with him when he could be working here regularly.

He was leaning under the tree in the courtyard where he'd first met Chris. A little too attached to this spot, maybe, but she's the only one who could tease him about it. And it's a great place for observing everything without having to participate. The thought that she might not know he's back makes him smile, he loves the excuse to surprise her.

"This place never changes," he says to no one in particular, lighting a fresh Huff 'n' Puff cigarette and crushing the last one under his shoe.

Christelle might not have known, but some people found out almost immediately. After all, there was no hiding Bigby's unique, familiar, and comforting scent. She practically bound out into the courtyard, at first in her wolf form, but then back to humanoid as she almost collided with him, arms wide and then clenching tight.

"You're back, you're back, you're back!"

Well, Bigby's never considered himself to be the parental type, but he can't help grinning as he hugs her back just as tightly.

"That's right, I'm back." And he's honestly impressed by how much more confident she seems, "Have you been good while I was gone?"

"A bit like you," remarks the familiar voice as Chris appears next to him, drawing out her PDA for a smoke as well. "Old and stubborn."

He laughs quietly; it's not exactly accurate to say he smelled her coming, more like he's been scent-tracking her all day. But he raises his brows as if he's surprised, you know, for sport.

"I'm not that old..." He scratches his stubble with a chuckle, "But I'll take stubborn, I guess."

"Old enough."

She idly holds out her cigarette towards him, clearly expecting him to help her light it up.

"Care to explain why you showed up without calling first so I could meet you?"

He lights it without conscious thought, being so used to the motion by now.

"Thought it'd make a nice surprise. I... got my old job back. I'm guessing you heard." He takes a drag from his own cigarette before continuing, "Snow got sick of me talking about the school, I guess, so I'm back here."

And, well, everyone continues to hate him in Mutant Town. That's a thing.

Good boy.

"Things getting too 'airy' in Mutant Town?" she quips with a smirk, blowing smoke in his face for good measure.

"Too calm. I missed not being able to speak without a cannibal joke."

This is a lie, Colin can't stop making them either. But Colin is back at the Farm and Bigby is lonely.

"Does that mean you came all this way for a piece of me? My thighs were so alluring you couldn't keep away despite 'ow you must certainly suffer the jokes?"

He just chuckles and tugs her closer to kiss her. "Pretty much."

Rude, have some smoke in your mouth, Bigby. And a chastising nip to his lips even as she kisses him back.

"Are you trying to cause a scandal for the students?" Chris asks archly, wiping the lipstick away from his mouth with a gloved thumb. "They gossip enough about anything and everything as is."
