Oh yes, he definitely does notice that reaction, and does his best not to laugh or roll his eyes, since that might be taken as somewhat rude. He does however smile brightly in turn until Sabo starts speaking again, a perhaps somewhat bizarre reaction to many, but Luvander has found that smiling usually works in most contexts, if nothing else as a way to unbalance people slightly.
He doesn't really understand what Sabo says in Portuguese; he's been taught to identify other languages more than actively speak them mostly. There seems to be some kind of dialect there too, but that is a little bit beyond his abilities - and like Sabo says, he's been moving around, so maybe that's it?
