"I guess I should be a little bit angry, but that's not why I'm doing this," he said, deliberately misunderstanding.

He channeled just a drop of his white fire into his limbs when he was down to the last cushion, so he could stand without the stick. It was subtle, but changed his posture completely. He dropped the stick and poured more of his power into himself, lending him strength, then he lifted the cushion, with Gilbert on it, and set it aside.

Then he took his stick back, let go of the fire and proceeded to use the cushions that were unoccupied first, setting about building his couch fort.
