Too cold to go outside. Way too cold. Good thing for Eli... she didn't have to. Even to get groceries. That was one of the few good things about being a mutant, and about being here, she supposed. She didn't have to hide what she was here. Because no one cared...
She tried not to be too depressed about that point...
So her clone, looking exactly like her, was bundled from head to toe; long flowing down coat that implied "dress" in the shape of it, boots that were more pretty than functional, a warm headband under her ponytail - hats could frizz out her hair! - and pretty gloves that were too thin to keep out much cold. Of course the headband had eye holes cut into the fabric in the part that was hidden under her hair, so that if her clone had to do the hero thing she could... but that wasn't visible at all.
Eli's focus was elsewhere. The clone had it's simple orders - go to the store and avoid anyone who Eli was embarrassed to see at the moment. It was too cold to focus on that clone, so she would wait until the clone got to the store before checking in.
Which meant that the clone sidestepped Zato instead of crashing into him, but smiled warmly instead of getting frustrated over how many males there were here. "HI!" the clone said cheerfully, even though she was clearly freezing.
