AROUND THE WORLD

⊗ News of the rioting in New York has spread like wildfire! While the Friends of Humanity have lost a great deal of mainstream credibility with what initial reports and eyewitnesses describe as an overt assassination attempt, but reactions have been all over the board. President Kelly has taken executive action to reinforce the National Guard troops already in New York, and called on citizens to respect the rule of law.

⊗ Genosha has been swift to condemn the Friends of Humanity and America's perceived tolerance for them, with some more hawkish commentators going so far as to theorize that Kelly's change of heart was a ruse and the Friends of Humanity are acting on his orders.

⊗ With the 2020 Olympics fast approaching, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Tokyo has issued a statement promising that security at the games will be sufficient. They were less than forthcoming on the details, and had no comment on the question of mutant participation in the games.

⊗ Tweets indicate that the National Film Board of Canada's representatives in District X are currently barricaded inside a Starbucks in the District. Perhaps Logan will come and rescue them? Maybe?
