Brief Personality: On the surface, he is very calm and speaks quite formally (it can be jarring to some people). Despite his seriousness, he does have a sense of humour and a gentle, compassionate heart. He will not judge people unless he gets to know them better and can form an opinion of them on his own. Although he is willing to spend lots of time helping others or listening to them talk about their problems, he makes it a point to never mention his own or talk about himself in general. Also very intelligent, and enjoys reading / tea / quiet places / discussing science / playing the piano.

Note: He is 27 as of now, but physically looks at most 20. Which means your character may possibly mistake him for a student if he doesn't state that he is a teacher outright. (Which he probably will not.)

Brief AU History: Born as Mouri Akisen in Hiroshima, Japan, to a family of mutants - their line traces their ancestry to one of the Sengoku Era clans. Generally had an okay childhood but was shunned by his peers because of his natural maturity. Did very well in his schooling and entered medicine, graduated without a hitch and got a job.

Until an earthquake struck his hometown and his eldest brother inevitably released a psychic shockwave into the area. His mother and brother fell victim to hate killings, and thr family am was forced to emigrate. While he has never been outed as a mutant (due to his careful nature), he still faced persecution for being related to them, and has never returned to Japan since. His father died a year after the Phoenix incident, and he spent another three years in Singapore before securing a place at the Institute.

Joined School: Early this year, let's say February or March. He's new.

Brief Personality: A goody goody two shoes smarty pants is the best way to put it. She also enjoys teasing people and being a bit of a nerd. No, really, she's a shining ball of positiveness who also happens to enjoy lame jokes and pulling people's legs. Especially when it comes to pretending she has abilities that she doesn't.

Brief AU History: She was born in Athens, Greece and, to keep her mutant abilities secret from the rest of Greece, she was forced to stay indoors a bunch. Her parents also adopted an angelic mutant named Pit and they got along pretty well. Now Palutena attends the Institute so she can actually be around people and to learn to use her skills so she can protect humanity.

Joined School: Joined five years ago, as a matter of fact.

Character Name: Takuto Shindou

Canon: Inazuma Eleven GO!

Brief Personality: Shindou's a serious and polite teenager who focuses a lot on his responsibilities to others - family, schoolmates, adults, etc. He tries very hard to put up a strong front so he won't let anyone down! But he's also a very emotional and sheltered, little rich kid who likes classical music and cats and sometimes get overwhelmed and just wants to cry or hit someone while blasting Beethoven. Or something like that. He's got a clever, strategic mind but is none-too-worldly, can be rigidly assertive at one turn and threatening to disappear off into a corner to cry the next.

Brief AU History: From a fabulously, stupidly wealthy, Japanese background. Grew up in Tokyo, didn't have any problems hiding his powers until a shady group scouting for mutants outed him in front of his school's soccer club. Became mildly famous for his school winning a national football/soccer championship with open mutants on the team roster...and also for helping to shutter an abusive training center for young mutants run by said shady organization.

Afterwards, joined Xavier's and gradually got drawn into joining up as an X-Men trainee. Saw field action on at least a few occasions before Jean Grey went all Phoenix and froze him in time for a few years.

Joined School: Fall Semester, 2012, as a high school freshman.

FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: Shindou's been stuck in suspended, temporal animation for five years, as a side-effect of exposure to the Phoenix Incident. He hasn't aged and has no memory of the interceding period, having effectively blinked and woken up a half-decade later. It's freaky but also means that he's still very much the same kid, trying to play very much the same role as before.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Everything! But a few specific things, to get the ball rolling:
- Shindou'll want to get back into a position to aid the X-Men ASAP, so potential teammates and collaborators on that front would be ideal. He'll work with most anyone, so long as their heart is in the right place.
- Awkward "Wow, you're a lot older than I remember" CR with other Institute alums who escaped the time-skip. Alternatiely, commiseration/group support with those who didn't get to avoid it.
- Teenage shenanigans. Shindou's been fifteen for the better part of the decade now, and he still hasn't gotten up to anything especially embarrassing or irresponsible. This is an imbalance that needs righted.
- Soccer teammates and sport-y bros to bond in general.

Is it okay to make Test Drive threads game canon?: Ask if there's any specific thread you'd really like to count as canon going forward; I'd prefer to know for sure what is and what isn't!

Brief AU History: Okay so she's an import from the last go around and more or less had a similar history to her canon self until the end of the last game. Overbearing parents, kidnapping (that was a fun plot), all that.

FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: Nothing super important here, though people following the news would have heard about the Beifong case and how Toph won the estate and her father's money while Poppy Beifong (née Long) divorced him because omfg criminal and is back in China with her family. Some people with their ears to the ground might have heard of a blind mutant called "Bandit". Old peeps seeing Toph now will realize she has a new seeing eye dog named Bender.

Canon: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (specifically, the IDW comics)

Brief Personality: A responsible, dedicated older brother who's deep into bushido and martial arts spiritualism. Leo's not incapable of humor, but he tends to be the first person to drop the wisecracks and get down to business, and the only thing he likes more than training is getting ready for more training. He loves his family deeply and while he won't go looking for a fight where there doesn't need to be one, he's downright scary when they're in danger.

He has a bit of a proud streak - he normally reins it in pretty well and he doesn't come across as a big ego, but he really hates losing and he can be kind of a perfectionist.

Brief AU History: Grew up in the NYC sewers to avoid persecution for the fact that his family got hit with the Obvious Physical Mutation stick like five times. He's been training as a ninja since he could walk, and though they lived a fairly out-of-sight, relatively peaceful life for a while, things started getting hairy when he and his family started investigating some shady research going down at a company called Stockgen - which conveniently also led them to cross paths with the Foot Clan, his dad's old ninja enemies. They've been getting into plenty of trouble dealing with Stockgen, the Foot, and NYC's criminal underground.

Leo had a recent stint of being brainwashed into fighting for the Foot; his real power finally started manifesting during the resolution to that (the "looks like a turtle" thing wasn't courteous enough to wait for so long), so Splinter sent him to the Institute partly to learn to use his power, partly to learn more about the threats faced by all mutantkind - and partly, though Leo wasn't told this, because he thought having some unbiased eyes on Leo might be good in case he's having more problems recovering than he wants to let on.

Joined School: Brand new as of game start.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:
- He will be hanging out on your rooftops, making unorthodox exits through upper level windows in classroom buildings, and generally doing that kind of Annoying Ninja Stuff, because he refuses to let himself get rusty. If that's likely to catch your character's interest, we can roll with that!
- He doesn't have much in the way of formal education, so while he still seems to know a decent amount in some subjects (Japanese history nerd, incoming, he even named his swords after famous samurai...), he probably has some odd gaps in his knowledge and hasn't needed to learn all the usual study skills. He might benefit from some help!
- Kenjutsu nerdddddddd. He will be all over kendo club and spending a lot of time training off in nice quiet spots on the grounds, but nice quiet spots are meant to be walked in on.
- For the faculty: when he enrolled, his father basically sent a private request to the staff that they keep an eye on him for any signs of lasting trauma from that time he went evil and joined the Foot Clan for a while. Leo doesn't know he's being watched. (But he's also good at knowing when people are watching...)
- Considering his function in canon, I think it would be pretty excellent if he formed a student team sooner or later, but since he's brand new I don't anticipate this happening too soon. He needs to settle in, and he may find the idea of leading a team that isn't his brothers a little weird, so he's not likely to be in a rush.

Is it okay to make Test Drive threads game canon?: Unfortunately, I changed the version of TMNT canon I was apping from after I'd posted to the test drive, so while Leo isn't super different from the one I played there, he's carrying a lot more baggage and it might have caused some things to roll a bit differently. Brief Personality: Serious-minded and grumpy, but very loyal and protective if he likes you. He doesn't typically start confrontations, but he won't back down from them; he doesn't let himself get picked on.

Brief AU History: He's an import from the last round so, short version . . . Born in Japan, lost his parents when he was four, sent to live with his maternal grandma in the US. His mutation manifested when he was twelve and he was kicked out of normal school for freezing another kid's arm solid. He was eventually made the leader of a student X-Team, specifically the covert ops. He's been in stasis for the past five years, so that's a thing.

Joined School: September, 2012, as a 7th-grader

FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: Nope, kid was in stasis, so nothing's happened to him in the past five years.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:
- Awkward reconnecting with any old CR that's still here. He'd like some familiar things.
- Classmates. He's in the 9th grade (he skipped 8th because he's a brainiac), so all you high school freshmen, get over here!
- People to annoy him. This is easy; he is irritable.
- Soccer bros. Yes, he plays.
- People to befriend him whether he likes it or not.
- He wants to get back into X-Team form, so anything in that direction is super awesome.

I haven't played 4 yet, but I'm a tremendous SW fan, haha. So while I don't know Takakage yet ~~game needs to come outttttt~~, I do want to touch him! ~~Reincarnation jokes just make me laugh sadly now, this Leo's from the version of TMNT where they are all actually reincarnated ninja from feudal Japan.~~

Depends whether he's teaching any of the lower level stuff or not! Leo's 9th grade, and since he grew up in a sewer he's a little lacking in formal education, so while I think he'll be able to bust his butt enough to keep up with the level he should be at, I definitely don't see him taking AP or anything.

takakage can make the structure, you can freeze it, and the kids can have fun playing in it. I mean, what? :'D

He will try to drag himself through before going to remedial anything because PRIIIIIIIDE, but that may definitely result in him hanging around the library slamming his face into a textbook or looking for someone for tutoring sessions or something!

Freezing it is just powers practice, totally. He does not play in ice castles.

Also, he's not in the grades that Takakage teaches, but he will probably be in the library a lot because he missed five years and he needs to get caught up on stuff. He's also just a brainiac in general and his way of coping with things that bug him is to bury himself in work, so.

He could very easily wind up in something like that, yes. He's just skipped a grade, so advanced classes are a thing that's plausible for him. (But pfff, tutoring requests. Kid is too proud for that. He wouldn't see the point. He's skipped a grade. Why would he need a tutor, right?)
