THE TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello, True Believers!
This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!
Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

Sakuya Haibara | Fatal Frame
It also helps as a member of staff, because then you can remember who everyone is and what their plans and the like are. So, most days, between meetings, she can be found scribbling things down on notepads or reviewing the notes, rubbing one of the scars under her hairline in thought.
She's friendly, she's kind, she's approachable. She's a little weird. At least she hasn't moved the dolls in yet. But there's a picture of her with quite a collection in the background up on a shelf behind her desk.
So come in, ask questions, look for guidance!
Just don't ask her to use that memory-removing power of hers to erase the fact you failed the last test, or, staff, to erase the memories of that shameful one night stand. She doesn't much appreciate that.]

Um... Haibara-san? I was told you'd be expecting me...

So this should be a learning experience.]
Yes, of course. Please, have a seat.
[The office is pleasantly dim, and the wall behind her desk has been painted a dim yellow. Everything about the place is meant to feel inviting, comfortable, safe, and it probably actually does a pretty good job of it.
It helps the oddly exposed feeling people tend to have when subjected to Sakuya's gaze.]
How are you feeling right at the moment?
[It's an odd question, because, for all intents and purposes, Sakuya looks like she already knows.]

... I dunno ...

Are you uncomfortable?
[She leaves the question purposefully vague, but she seems willing to wait however long it'll take Kagerou to answer.]

... odd.]
Even still, Imaizumi-san, it is 'normal' so much as to leave your assigned room. I wonder if it's not more than just what you're used to?

Is there anything that would make it feel more like home for you? If nothing else, I'd suggest... leaving a window open. We can't have you outside, though. Not here. Not with... things as they are.

Hm. What sort of... things do you think of when I say... to think of... 'home'?

Unfortunately, I can't... think of anything to offer for the other. I once offered a much younger girl a doll when she missed home. I don't think... it would help you, though. Perhaps some kind of... familiar scent?

As I said we can't... have you wandering around outside after hours. For your own safety.
[She pauses, frowns, then ventures a question;]
That said, being who you are... how do... you feel about the moon?

Either way, the moon is an important thing to my people. Or... was... -It's hard referring to the wolves in past tense, still.-

She swivels around in her chair a bit, and stands up to walk over to the shelf behind her, where a somewhat elaborate carving of the moon sits.]
Where I'm from... [She pauses, trying to figure out how to word it. It's not so easy in something other than Japanese.] The moon also is... very important. For different reasons. No one's... a wolf there. At least I don't think. Even more than the sun, the island's god of choice is... the moon. [She rests her hand atop the carving, and cants her usual smile over her shoulder at Kagerou.] Because of this... I might be able to help. If you would like something symbolic.
