Brief Personality: Kind of an adorable dork that just wants to help people. Outgoing and happy online but slightly shy when meeting face-to-face. Likes a lot of nerdy stuff and is very different from what you'd expect of a seven-foot purple elf-thing.

Brief AU History: Russian second-gen mutant that was infected with an anti-mutant disease at a young age and lost his ability to speak, eat and breathe normally. His technopath father fixed him up and he now speaks via ASL translated by a robomask. Moved to the US at 10 and has ties to the morlocks - with his father helping the Russian branch and then living with the New York branch for a time as an adult.

Joined School: He arrived to the school the 11th of October. Just in time to be part of the U-Men attack. Great timing.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: All the friends! After having a bit of a rough patch in his life, Zian is just looking to start over and make a new life. He's a big dork and probably does well with students and faculty alike, and he's only 21.

Patients! Working with Takakage to take care of students and faculty, Zian doesn't exactly wish for anyone to be hurt or sick, but he's looking forward to helping people.

Assholes! Pretty much any negative CR is great as well, and since he's an ex-morlock that might make people a bit suspicious considering the calamity those guys have gotten into, sometimes even fighting the X-Men.

Ridiculous crushes! Zian has no confidence what so ever in the romantic area but does get enamored sometimes, fretting nervously from a distance and just generally being too shy to do anything about it. He swings either way.

Brief Personality: ....Okay she's seriously the joke waifu character of the game. Obsessed with love and marriage, painfully sweet and cute, can't stand people being lonely or sad, loves puppies, loves sweets, super dark past she tries to play it off.

Brief AU History: Taken from her parents as soon as she could walk, Elphelt was groomed to be an emotionless killing machine. She didn't care for that too much. After one too many kills, she finally ran off from the people who brainwashed her and into the arms of another organization... who promptly locked her up because who's going to trust a programmed killing machine? All her emotions got nice and intense and tidy, and eventually she found out she was a mutant! AND NOW SHE'S HERE. In her (future) wedding dress.

Joined School: RIGHT NOW. Uh... NO UM JAN 1ST IGNORE MY PREVIOUS EDIT.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: So..... Elphelt cannot stand being lonely (she's tolerated it for WAY TOO LONG) and she can't stand anyone being lonely, therefore if you have a sad or lonely character you need her to tag them and they need to forcibly be friends. Also people who want to be completely messed with by her accidentally using her powers, check-plus. By the way, her ability is essentially to make people like her, manipulating body and mind with little psychic bullet sort of things. Sometimes they will like her to the point of TWOO WUV. Or extreme affection, at least. This is easily resisted based on constitution or if someone knows her really well she won't even accidentally do it. It's usually activated or triggered by accident when she's overly enthused or happy. It also makes her seem more persuasive and likable. Not that she isn't already. UM ALSO. Someone who knows about her background and/or you'd be willing to try to get it out of her, she does need someone she can vaguely lean on from time to time. And someone to slap her hand about this marriage thing. And someone to tell her to go change clothes.

Brief AU History: The son of an affluent family, Tomas was born and raised in luxury. After finishing college, he toured the world and used his gift of the written word to expose hardships and triumphs. One such trip ended in tragedy, and in the end he severed ties with his parents. He returned to traveling, and his current stop is at the Institute.

Brief Personality: Rude. Angry. Aggressively tsundere.

Brief AU History: Rin spent most of her life traveling around the Middle East: first with her parents, a pair of mutants working to bring aid to others who had been displaced from their homes, and then with a band of mutant mercenary terrorists, after she became disillusioned with peaceful advocacy and ran away from home. A job her group had accepted went belly-up, though, leaving her the only survivor and forcing her to flee.

Joined School: The beginning of November, or thereabout.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:

• Rin puts up walls between herself and other students, so I welcome negative CR based on both her principles and her generally caustic attitude!
  
• On the other hand, people whose beliefs happen to align more closely to hers would be good too, or even just people who aren't fazed by the tsun.
  
• Conversely, she has a tendency to be more soft-hearted than she cares to admit toward people she feels can't protect themselves, so if you've ever wanted to have Rin Tousaka tell you it's n-not like she's doing it because she's worried about you or anything, here's your chance! Children, meeker girls, etc, are pretty up her alley for this.
  
• I would love for her to have an adult mentor (or two) in her life. Rin is headstrong and bitter, but at her core she cares deeply about ~JUSTICE~, so someone trying to redirect her anger into other means could be fun!
  
• I would love for her to actually open up toward someone, buuuut that's something that would take some working toward. Her surrogate family basically just died three months ago though and she has some survivor's guilt she is pointedly not allowing anyone to see, so I'd love to do something with that.
  
• But you know what doesn't require working toward? Fashion. Rin has never had time to worry about it before now, but now that she does, it turns out she loves it! Let's trade make-up tips!
  
• Other embarrassing things Rin loves: Dazzler, Space the Convergence. People should definitely catch her in the act sometime.
  
• In general, though, despite how disagreeable Rin is, I would absolutely love to arrange some normal teenage hijinks with her. A normal school life is something she's never been able to experience in the past, but secretly wants to, so I would absolutely love to play around with that!
  
• Also, now that her doppelganger has been accepted into the game, people should absolutely ask her about that.

Otherwise, she's one of the counselors, so really anyone she can be helpful toward is useful. I wanna get her to use her power on someone at some point, too, so if anyone has any huge traumas that they might want to look into getting permanently erased from their memories planned, Sakuya's the mutant for you!

Brief Personality: A cheerful girl with a love for plants.

Brief AU History: Raised to believe she was gifted until she unintentionally ended up luring a group that killed her family and nearly her. Spent over a year pretty much insane and broken until she was brought back to Xavier's for therapy. Now mostly recovered, she teaches part time.

Joined School: She's been here for a while now, but she only just recovered this past spring.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Gimme all the CR! Teachers will definitely know her. Ceireia helps teach students one on one or occasionally subs in if she's needed. She's also on call to help with medical things (especially if its related to poison). So students that need tutoring, or have frequent injuries or things like that would be fun.

And fellow plant lovers too. On a side note, she'll be taking flower orders for Valentine's Day. Some may or may not be laced with plant based chemicals that are overall harmless. But playing cupid seems like a great idea.

Brief Personality: Tiny child who does not want to be a tiny child. Ken is the kind of kid who tries to act older than he is; he's polite and tries to be really serious, but on the inside he still loves his stupid superhero manga and thinks things taste better with more sugar. He's also sorting out some bad things happening but doesn't want to actually ask for help or support because grownups can totally handle this stuff themselves, right?

Brief AU History: Canon without the SEES, basically. Ken lived a happy, normal life until an accident with a mutant killed his mother when he was nine, and the police just swept it under the rug. He got mad, tried to get revenge, and the mutant in question wound up dying to save Ken's life, which left him really confused, really upset, and really not sure how to deal with it - and since that incident also exposed his own mutation, he got packed off to America to learn how not to be a menace.

Joined School: He'll be showing up brand new as of this month.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:
- FRANDS. Ken is not great at making friends, because he acts too serious and isn't all that outgoing, especially given that his life has basically been like a TV drama for the last two years. (Or like a JRPG backstory. Whichever.) Aggressive befrienders would be great.
- SENPAIS. As long as he's trying to act older, he could really use some people to look up to! Especially given that his canon niche is being the fifth grader in a party full of highschoolers and a dog, and a robot.
- TEACHERS. I have no idea which ones work with the youngest kids, but he should be meeting them. And as much as he's not likely to appreciate it, he probably would have a couple who are keeping a slightly more wary eye on him than normal; the police report that got him sent here probably didn't actually contain that he was trying to commit murder-suicide, but...

Brief AU History: Japan's media darling Detective Prince was discovered to be a mutant during a high-profile interrogation. Here to learn to control his mind powers.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Life has utterly kicked me in the ass in the past couple months, so I'm looking to jump in.

Any characters from Japan are welcome to recognize Naoto as the Detective Prince. She was a bit all over the media before she left.

I would just like to get Naoto back into things after farting around in the background for a couple months. Anything would be awesome! So, getting her out of her box is amazing.

Also, a note. Naoto presents completely male and speech, however, it is possible in the past few months a rumour or two have come out that the Detective Prince is not all he seems. At the very least he is a bit too private with personal matter. Do with that what you will.

Canon: All My Traumatized Teenagers Attack on Titan

Brief Personality: Krista is just the sweetest, warmest, most innocent thing you've ever met. She's loyal and generous and soft-spoken, and just about everyone loves her.

Too bad she's fake as Hell.

Basically, Krista the Sparkling Disney Princess is a consciously-affected persona made to appeal to people's sense of what a Good Girl is, because no one can have a happy life in Attack on Titan. Underneath the shoujo bubbles and generosity is a girl broken into apathy and self-hatred by years of emotional abuse, cynically acting out the part of the all-loving ingenue in an attempt to disown her "empty" true self and get someone to care about her.

Brief AU History: Krista grew up as Historia Reiss, in a small town with her grandparents (who hated her), her single mom (who hated her more), and a bunch of animals (who were just about the only living beings she knew who didn't hate her). Her home environment was so intensely toxic that she suppressed her own empathy (the superpower, but also the personality trait) so hard that it still hasn't recovered, at the age of 6. Everything was awful in a horrifically quotidian way basically every day, all her life.

Then a little while ago, her biological father and some hitmen showed up and took out her mom because of blackmail reasons, and she mind-whammied them into not murdering her, too, and forgetting she'd been there.

Then she had to go into witness protection, which was cool with her because Hell with being Historia anyway, and now she's here!

Joined School: Just now! At the start of the second semester.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:
-Actual warm-fluffy characters! She'll act all sweet with them, and secretly hate them a little for it if she realizes they're genuine. It'll be fun! And who knows, maybe they can get through to her eventually...
-Open cynics! Anyone capable of seeing through the Pollyanna act would be particularly interesting. If they don't see through her, she'll probably try and Disney Princess at them.
-Anyone willing, OOC-ly, to let her manipulate their characters' emotions with her brain
-In canon, there's a running gag about her being (accidentally and seemingly obliviously) a bit of a dude magnet. Any takers for awkward, probably one-sided crushes?
-...And since I got a head mod OK for making her father's side of the birth family (completely unbeknownst to her) a violent mutant supremacist cult, that's also a thing! Backstory coordination, anyone?

So, Shindou's power comes with a full-on side of "no psychic defenses whatsoever." He's probably had some kind of lessons in mental defense by this point, but if he's not actively putting effort into it his mind's basically a big door with a "Come on in, drinks on the house!" sign plastered on the front.

He's also got this thing about not prying into other people's affairs, which can make him kind of emotionally dense at times? So, odds are good that even if he got a sense that Krista wasn't quite what she seemed, he wouldn't press it enough to clue in at all.

Which is all to say: Empathic manipulation, yes please!

(...ahahaha, and the one girl Shindou ever goes for in canon is very much the delicate, harmless, endlessly giving type, so he might be in the one-sided crush market, too? Which, combined with the previous bit, could be kind of awful probably, if that was a thing.)

Brief Personality: Reki's the classic Cool Big Sis type: easygoing, knows about all the things you wanna know about but still protective. She can be a bit of a night owl and sometimes dissapears for days while painting. Underneath all that, she's got some major guilt/deppression issues, tied into her memory problems.

Brief AU History: Reki woke up in eastern Europe with no memory of her previous life and wings emerging from her back. She spent a long time in a special institution for people with her exact problem, but she ended up falling into conflict with the authorities there. On leaving, she pursued a career in the underground arts scene and helped teach it to Morlock kids in Japan. She came to Xavier's six years ago but was one of the people caught by the Phoenix Incident and only recently woke up.

Joined School: Six years ago, technically, but only woke up about the beginning of the year

FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: Reki completed her X-person training. Ran has been helping her with her amnesia and she's starting to remember things.

-Reki needs people to feel useful to in order to feel good about herself. She's drawn to those in need of help and protection

-Do you like art? Wanna recognize her? Embarrass her about it?

-Her permissive teaching style probably brings her into conflict with straight-laced types. Could use some to show that.

-I'm so down for logging just completely mundane stuff. Wanna have our pups meet while shopping at the thriftstore? Doing laundry?

-The northern winter has probably wrecked her scooter. Wanna help her repair it?

Brief Personality: Dolorous, snarky, awkward, Liir is a bit of a wet blanket. Yet he does what's right. In other words, the Knight In Sour Armor trope. Kindof a square for the son of a terrorist. Recently is cautiously enamored of the MLF.

Brief AU History: Liir's the son of the Wicked Witch Of The West, who in Wicked Years and XI AUs was a famous mutant revolutionary and folk hero (Oz in XI being a large island in the north Atlantic). He grew up rather isolated. After his mom's death, he wandered to the Emerald City and joined the military under a false name for lack of other opportunities. There he did some things he's not proud of, before burning some important stuff down.

Joined School: Beginning of this school year.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:

-Forming a pro-MLF X-Team, need people.

-I'd like more people to realize who his mom was and put expectations on him about it, one way or the other. Make his complexes worse.

-His secondary power is manifesting: the ability to see the past of any organic object he touches. Which includes hair or skin flakes from people, btw. And he doesn't have much control over it yet. Which means that if he's at all near you, he might see your past. Interested in making things that uncomfortable?

-Liir needs people to get through his shell. Busybodies are most certainly helpful here.

-I'm very much not opposed to canon welding, seeing as his canon is set in an Oz AU.

-People to help him deal with his dead parent issues.

-Someone please teach him how to have fun. (This will be a daunting and thankless task)

Brief Personality: Curious, unschooled and uncouth but quick on her feet, mischevious, kinesthetically and spacially intelligent, not just primitive but primal (or in other words, new to civilization) and with almost no memory. Unguarded in both affection and anger.

Brief AU History: The child of the child of an ancient, omega level underwater mutant, Naija's mother wiped her memory a few years ago to provoke her into awakening her full powers.

-Naija needs people to gently help her learn the mores of surface civilization

-Since she's living in the lake, if you do anything down there you're likely to encounter her. If you like to row, you might bonk her on the head!

Character Name: Natsuno Yuuki/Koide (he has two last names since his parents never got officially married..)

Brief Personality: Probably the most stand-offish guy you'll ever met. Natsuno's not really actively an asshole per se, although he'll probably be once he starts disliking you.. it's more just that he's generally apathic to most things and people around him until they get on his bad side. He does have feelings deep down though, but they're just.. not very each to reach, basically. Mostly seems indifferent.

Brief AU History: His parents moved with him from the big city to a small town in the countryside to escape the fact that he was a mutant started to spread more. Except a vampire family settled down in the same town right after and slowly started to kill off the small population - it was Natsuno who found out about it in time, but since no one believed his story he started trying to combat (pretty literally) the vampire problem himself until the townsfolk started thinking he was the one going around killing people and pretty literally chased him out of the town, leading to his parents sending him to go to school here instead.

Joined School: Mid-October, right after the U-men attack.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Anything! It's especially super easy to get negative cr with Natsuno: if you are loud and very present, it's pretty easy for him to just start trying to avoid you or actively push you away. Literally, if he has to. Look, he even kicks his best friend around canonically, it's not a big deal for him.. Positive cr is possible, though! He gets along well with more calm and practically-minded people who don't stand out a whole lot, for one, and he's also pretty protective of people who need it, even if he'll never actually show it since he's a tsundere. Apathicdere. Whichever you prefer. Even people who try to push for friendship with him might end up getting what they want anyway if there's still something endearing about them, although he'll probably complain the whole way. Don't pay too much attention to it.

There's also his whole problem with vampires and hating the shit out of them, so if your character is a vampire or has dealt with them, that's a huge opportunity for CR!

I'm really up for anything though, so just let me know if you want CR and we'll make something work. Somehow.

Character Name: Shindou Takuto

Canon: Inazuma Eleven GO!

Brief Personality: Shindou's a serious and polite teenager who focuses a lot on his responsibilities to others - family, schoolmates, adults, etc. He tries very hard to put up a strong front so he won't let anyone down! But he's also a very emotional and (prior to his arrival at the Institute) rather sheltered, little rich kid who likes classical music and cats and sometimes get overwhelmed and just wants to cry or hit someone while blasting Beethoven. Or something like that. He's got a clever, strategic mind but is none-too-worldly, can be rigidly assertive in the face of one conflict and threatening to disappear off into a corner in tears come the next.

Brief AU History: From a fabulously, stupidly wealthy, Japanese background. Grew up in Tokyo, didn't have any problems hiding his powers until a shady group scouting for mutants outed him in front of his school's soccer club. Became mildly famous for his school winning a national football/soccer championship with open mutants on the team roster...and also for helping to shutter an abusive training center for young mutants run by said shady organization.

Afterwards, joined Xavier's and gradually got drawn into joining up as an X-Men trainee. Saw field action on at least a few occasions before Jean Grey went all Phoenix and froze him in time for a few years. Is back after five years of stasis as of the start of this term and gradually getting back into the swing of things.

Joined School: Fall Semester, 2012, as a high school freshman. Re-joined at the start of the current school year as a sophomore.

FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: Shindou's been stuck in suspended, temporal animation for five years, as a side-effect of exposure to the Phoenix Incident. He hasn't aged and has no memory of the interceding period, having effectively blinked and woken up a half-decade later. It's freaky but also means that he's still very much the same kid, trying to play the same role as before. (At this point he's had some time to start to adjust to the whole time-jump situation, but it can still be super-awkward.)

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:

(1) Junior Superhero-ing! - Team Fabulous Hair is Shindou's biggest priority at the school at present, and anything involving them would be pretty great. Specific stuff: I'd love to see them hitting the Danger Room for the first time between now and the end of next app cycle, and maybe at least one group outing of the non-heroic variety? Just to flesh out the team dynamic! They also need to pick out a new fifth member, so that could be a source for some fun stuff. (Shindou-specifically, I'd also really like to play more with the idea that he honestly, whole-heartedly doesn't want to be the leader. At some point, he might approach one of the other team members about taking on that role, once he feels comfortable enough with them?)

(2) Stabbin' Stuff - Okay, more precisely, I'd like to have Shindou decide - maybe after the end of the upcoming event - that he needs to learn to use some kind of weapon to keep up with the more combat power-oriented mutants at the school. (I have this mental image of him ending up with some especially out-there, decidedly non-Eastern fighting style like canne de combat or something, but IC he would probably take whatever he could get.) So, potential mentors in that area, sparring partners, and people available to fret over the piano kid waving around a deadly weapon would all be aces.

(3) Teenage Shenanigans - All that focus on violence and superheroic duty needs balancing out with some actual school kid stuff, so anyone who can drag him into more down-to-earth or slice-of-life-y fun is super, super encouraged.

(4) Negative CR! - Shindou's a nice and generally live-and-let-live kind of kid, but when someone gets on his bad side he's royally stubborn about keeping them there. Please get on his bad side.

(5) Soccer Club Stuff! - They should totally do something, right? Anything! Fundraiser to get a field put in on the school, fighting over what color uniforms to get, prank war with the school's baseball team over which sport is superior...dumb sports stuff to fit in between all the mutant drama, yes please.

Brief Personality: Al is crass, scheming, self-interested above all, and borderline amoral. He fancies himself the kind of guy who will cut any throat that needs cutting if it gets him ahead, mostly because he is that exact kind of guy. But he also sees the long game well, which leads him to preferring to make things work smooth and peaceful when that suits his purposes better, and he has something of a mentoring side, especially as far as more "misfit" types are concerned.

He also swears like an old-timey prospector updated to modern times, so beware.

Brief AU History: Al's old. In his life, he's been made an orphan, wandered much of the western U.S. living a life of super-powered crime, then moved into NYC and started the first openly mutant-oriented bar in what's now District X. Said joint conveniently served as a front for his operation dealing drugs, running prostitutes, and doing a bunch of other unsavory shit at first, but over time it's turned into a (more or less) legitimate operation.

Al briefly taught a class on "powerless survival skills" at the Institute about five years back, but he left around the unveiling of Project Wideawake to deal with increased anti-mutant violence in and around District X, where his influence helped keep anti-mutant sentiment from spilling into any especially open bloodshed and halted violent efforts to evict the mutant population from much of the District. He was recently invited back to the school to teach a class on armed combat.

Joined School: Originally, about five years ago. Most recently, towards December of last year.

FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: Al's still shady as hell, but he's pretty much dispensed with all the outright illegal side of his operations by now. He's still running Gem, his District X bar, but it's pretty much legit at this point. He also did some good work preventing the District's residents from being muscled out by big corporations looking to redevelop the bit of NYC they live on, so...yay for keeping our violent, crime-riddled slums safe and sound?

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Full and fair disclosure, I have royally sucked with keeping up with Al over the past month and a half. I'm going to do my best to correct that going into February, so if I've dropped tagged or generally been terrible in threads we've had, it's nothing personal! (I've actually really enjoyed all of the brief encounters he's had with folks.)

So, that said, specific plans for him for the near future:

(1) District X Stuff - Al's something like a community elder in the District, as grim as that is to say, and so he'll be taking (begrudging) part in the relief efforts in the area throughout the winter. Students who want to get more involved in the mutant community in the city (and who don't have the good sense to look up, like, a reputable charity or something) may end up enlisted in that work. (And, since he ain't no charity, he'll pay you for your volunteer work in beer or booze. Don't go telling the Professor, now, yeah?)

(2) Class! - With the new year underway, so is Al's armed combat course. Specifically, he'll be teaching two sections of the class - one for beginners, going over the basics of handling guns and knives and dealing with armed opponents, and one "advanced class" geared towards students who already have significant weapon skills. That one will involve a lot more "Try not to die!"-style Danger Room scenarios.

Students for either would be great, especially ones who can be a pain in the ass.

(3) Work/Study Program?? - No, seriously, I still think it'd be hilarious if he hired an older student or two on as staff at his District X bar and gave them a crash course on running a business in a violent, volatile slum. Technically, you only have to be eighteen to serve liquor in NY! (And technically Al wouldn't care about paying someone younger than that under the table if he liked their style. He is all about mentoring up-and-coming scoundrels.)

Brief Personality: Grumpy, way-too-serious for his age (or any age), with a tendency to get sarcastic. But he's also very loyal, smart, responsible, and determined. He can get slightly melancholy every now and then over that whole stasis thing, but that's much less often now and he's likely to cover it with grump anyway.

Brief AU History: Born in Japan, orphaned at four, sent to live with his maternal grandma in the Seattle area. He started manifesting his power in his sleep shortly after his 12th birthday and never noticed it proper until he accidentally froze over a convenience store. He tried to get it under control on his own for a while, but he wound up freezing another kid's arm during a schoolyard fight and got expelled. When he first joined the Institute, he just wanted to learn to control his power and go home, but a series of events lead him to be a student team leader and his priority has since changed. He's been in stasis for the past five years, woke up from it just before the start of this school year.

Joined School: Fall semester, 2012 as a 7th-grader, and then stasis happened. He's rejoined the school as a 9th-grader (yep, he skipped) the beginning of this school year.

FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: Stasis was a thing for him, and he only came out of it about a week before classes started. He's had a bit of a tough time dealing with the fact that his team has grown up and moved on without him, and has been feeling more melancholy and out of place. Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: I have been lazy as hell the past couple months and I need ALL THE THINGS. Especially forming up a student X-Team; this kid wants to be back in the field. Brief Personality: Rinka is a kindhearted and empathic person. She is really protective of her friends and has absolutely no patience for bullies. If she sees something wrong, she'll try to do something about it, whether that means kicking ass and taking names or providing a shoulder to cry on.

Brief AU History: Rinka grew up poorer than a church mouse. Her ex-cop father was pushed out of the police force for trying to root out corruption (and for being a mutant) and afterwards couldn't hold down a steady job. By high school Rinka was working part-time at a restaurant to make ends meet. By chance she encountered a boy just as her mutant powers emerged, and he soon had her running around Tokyo as a mutant vigilante duo, protecting the public from mutants who were misusing their powers. Trained from childhood in martial arts by her father, Rinka is a capable fighter, even without her mutant power.

Brief Personality: Alex is charming, but reserved. Outside of sports teams, he has trouble working as part of a group. He is self-reliant and independent to a fault. But even though he tries to present a carefree and nonchalant attitude, his cynicism often peeks through.

Brief AU History: Alex grew up in London, England with his uncle, Ian. Life was great until his uncle died shortly after Alex turned 14. As it turned out, Ian was a spy. And a mutant. Plus, Ian's boss knew all about the fact Alex was a mutant. Through some very underhanded emotional manipulation, Alex was forced to became an operative. Over the next year and a half, he completed nine 'missions'. Some were at the behest of MI6, and for some he was 'loaned out' to other agencies, including the CIA and the ASIS. This all concluded last summer with the worst 'mission gone wrong' ever. MI6 reluctantly terminated its usage of Alex and allowed him to move to the States. He attempted to attend a 'normal' school at first, but various events changed his mind.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Alex is heavily involved in sports. He's fantastic at soccer, not bad at tennis, and enjoys rowing. He's also really good at snooker, so if someone teaches him American pool, he'll probably be pretty good at that too. Biking, skiiing, scuba diving, you name it he's probably tried it. He also studies karate and is a black belt.

Alex is dealing with a lot of emotional trauma right now. Guidance counselor characters, someone is going to end up with this mess.

Brief Personality: Beast Boy is a class clown. He feeds on attention, positive or negative, as long as something is happening. He's generally good-hearted, but does tend to be insensitive and take his jokes too far, and he doesn't shy away from stupid or deserved arguments, even if he'll usually apologize when he realizes he messed up. When he isn't pestering others, he spends a lot of time on the couch. It's hard to balance being a hero, a couch potato, and a student, so the latter tends to fall by the wayside as often as not.

Brief AU History: Beast Boy was a member of a small hero team that is dedicated to hunting down a villainous organization. He quit-although you don't ever really quit The Doom Patrol-to get away from the team's oppressive leader and, begrudgingly, get some much needed schooling. With the help of some friends, he's been managing to pull passing grades in all his classes, but just barely. His commitment to living his life as a superhero does as much harm to his academic pursuits as it does good to his practical classes.
