⊗ Life got a bit busy and we forgot to do a weekly update over the last two weeks. We apologize and really don't intend to make this extreme tardiness a habit. Thank you for bearing with us.

⊗ APPS ARE OPEN!! And will be all week! Be sure to get yours in and tell your friends about the game! Also, the Test Drive Meme is still active, so go comment/thread/have fun with it!

⊗ Since February is a short month, AC will start on the 23rd so that you still have the same amount of time to post your links. It's a normal AC, so please expect to post both requested AC qualifying items.

⊗ The January Hellfire Club has wrapped up. The results will be detailed in the "Around the World" section. The latter half of February will be game-plot focused, so that characters can focus on v-day shenanigans before things get serious again.

⊗ The mods will be putting together a WANTED LIST for future App This Plz posts soon. Get an idea of what characters you'd like to see in the game and be ready to post when it's up! It should be ready just after AC starts.

⊗ With an upcoming holiday focusing on romantic relationships, that old RUMOR MILL has got to be churning something fierce. Who's going with who? Did they seriously make-out behind the dorms? Was that a love letter passed to the teacher? POST'EM!

AROUND THE WORLD

⊗ Turns out the person who provided the invitations to Professor Xavier was none other than international badass Nick Fury. Fury and his elite SHIELD agents swept in when the fighting ended between Sebastian Shaw and Team 3, placing him in their custody and thanking the X-Men for providing them more than enough evidence to arrest Shaw. He awaits trial.

⊗ Fury, however, visited the campus again (he's a hard guy to miss) sometime later, having a closed door meeting with Professor Xavier. It looked really urgent. One has to wonder what they were talking about...

⊗ President Kelly's State of the Union was nearly drowned out by a loud and raucous congress, as well as protestors outside the building both for and against Registration. However, the key points were made clear. He is still anti-registration. He is still pro-peace with Genosha. And he refuses to allow his country to fall into political chaos the country has not seen since the Civil War era...

⊗ With Shaw out of action, the Friends of Humanity have backed off a bit. Their main weapons supplier is now gone, and while it isn't public knowledge that Shaw is a mutant, the rumor didn't sit well with FoH leadership. They're looking for a new source of gear...

⊗ ... In turn, however, the Mutant Liberation Front has taken this chance to become more aggressive. They are now openly using powers in counter protests, starting violent riots in mutant ghettos, and attacking known centers of anti-mutant social activities.

⊗ The National Film Board of Canada has been sending Logan several boxes worth of Valentine candy. He's been donating it to District X relief projects. The cycle of philanthropy continues.

GOSSIP/RUMOR MILL

Since they were together almost the entire time at the soup kitchen, rumors of Bridget and Koshi going steady have started. But others insist after watching what they could have sworn was a kiss between Bridget and Beast Boy at Christmas suggests otherwise. And then there are those who shipsay that Koshi is with Beast Boy and Bridget is pining for the roommate that moved away.

A Valentine's Day betting pool has started. Koshi/BB is actually the favorite to win.

It's hardly difficult to notice that Hijikata has taken to carrying a kitten around with him. (Rumor has it that, when confronted about it, he claimed that "she gets separation anxiety", and then murdered the person who dared to ask with the sheer force of his ocular hate-beams [a previously undisclosed secondary mutation, probably] and hid their body in the lake.)

As a result, there's been a resurgence of rumors that Hijikata is just super whipped. This is probably exactly what Souji had planned when he got that damned cat, to tell the truth.

There's still a lot of meaningful eye contact and double entendre during his smoke breaks with Madame Desrosiers, though. Possibly they have some kind of incredibly scandalous threesome happening??? It seems like the kind of thing she'd be open to...
