THE TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello, True Believers!
This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!
Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

Raven | Teen Titans
[Raven walking through the hallway, eyes fixated on the book she's reading. Apparently, it's a really enthralling read, as she doesn't even notice someone walking down the opposite way. A little bit longer, and the two bump into each other.]
Sorry.
[B]
[Finally, she has the room to herself. Now's the chance to get in some good meditation in or just enjoy the relative peace and quiet. Nothing could possibly ruin this moment, and-
Oh, someone's knocking on the door. Well, there's only thing to do...
Raven ignores whoever it is and goes back to her peace and quiet. Or she would've, if they didn't start knocking again.
Alright, fine.
She opens the door, just barely enough to catch her disgruntled face.]
What do you want?
A
Hello? Running here!
[Then he sees who he ran into. Surprise flashes across his face, followed by an excited grin.]
No way! Raven?

Hey, Beast Boy.
[This would've been a touching reunion, if she didn't notice the dropped "gear."]
... What are you doing?
no subject
[He holds up his creations proudly. They look like they were made by a little kid. There are actual staples holding some of the seams together.]
If I'd known you were here, I woulda just borrowed yours!
no subject
Why do you have jedi clothes to begin with.
[This is a question for the ages. One that Raven is pretty sure she's going to regret. And yet...
There are times when one really can't help themselves.]
no subject
[You should know, Raven. You already have a hood and cape. Not everyone is so lucky! Beast Boy pulls the smaller of the robes over his head and struggles for a few moments to find the arm and head holes. He grabs the lightsaber off the floor and strikes an actiony pose.]
Pretty good, right?
no subject
You're the best.
[When in doubt? Sarcasm.]
no subject
[He is pretty sure that wasn't genuine, but he'll take it!]
You knooow, Raven, since you're already dressed for it... Wanna come play? There's always room for one more!
[And she'd make a great sith lord.]
A
Oh! Excuse me! I wasn't watching where I walked. I apologize.
[She gives the other girl a sheepish smile as she bend down to pick up the cellphone she'd dropped.]
no subject
[No harm done! Although... Raven couldn't actually hold a conversation to save her life.]
Uh...
[Smooth.]
It didn't break, did it?
no subject
It's okay! I know it's not flashy. It's sturdy. That is more important.
[And it was cheap. Very cheap. But that clearly didn't stop her from hanging a cute penguin-shaped charm from the phone.]
I'm Rinka.
no subject
Raven.
I uh, don't really use cellphones that often.
[She didn't have many people that she absolutely needed to stay in touch with, after all.
no subject
[Everyone was so plugged into their phones where Rinka was from that she found it hard to understand how someone could do without. As she puts the cellphone into the pocket of her skirt, she tilts her head slightly.]
Don't we have history class together?
no subject
Yeah.
[At least it wasn't gym class. Raven's has never liked gym class. Ever.]
You don't have to worry. I'm not here to waste anyone's time.
no subject
[Rinka gives Raven a confused look.]
Unless you're not doing the homework I hardly see how you're wasting anyone's time.
Now, those jokers sitting in the back who always talk, they are wasting our time.

[Between that chakra gem on her forehead, the blue hair, the grey-ish skin? He kind of looks like a deer caught in the headlights.]
[With some of the others here, it's almost easy to forget they're mutants, that they aren't just normal people. But with her - well.] Oh, uh - no, it's cool, I mean, I wasn't looking where I was going either, so -
[Kid has 'fresh meat' written all over him.]
