THE TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello, True Believers!
This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!
Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

Because if you ask a simple question cat will just refuse to answer out of spite! It's also best to keep her distance, when threatened she goes for the eyes. She's definitely still calculating the best way to get out of here if this kid is trouble, cause he has the skills and attitude to definitely be well acquainted with trouble.

"...Cat." But it isn't like she'd give her real name even if she did like someone.

He hops down from the chimney but stays back enough so she won't feel threatened. "I'm guessing you're new?"

At least her posture had gone from aggressive to just... mockingly casual, arms crossed in her leather jacket. She was clearly on the skinny side, but her hair and skin was showing signs of her malnourished and improper care all around. Even though everything had been recently cleaned, washed, and all around made to smell less like a gutter. But it hardly covered up the simple fact.
She did not feel a part of this place.

Or cat in this case.
"I'm from Gotham. You?"

She doesn't comment on his complete originality on using meow after she says something directly offensive. She's fairly sure it'll only get him to make more comments of that nature.

He's obviously pleased at meeting another Gothamite, even if she's still not that keen on the idea of him. "How'd you come to be at Xavier's then?"

Translation: she got ripped out of the life she loved so someone could pretend he cared about kids to get reelected. She's not young enough, safe enough, or human enough to be given a real home she could just run away from in a few weeks when the Mayor doesn't need to pretend anymore.
Oh, right, information is useful. "You?"
