THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!


Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

"Well... on the bright side, I didn't actually call anyone this time. Or send out any loud distress signals." She pulls a small wince at that, before settling down onto the roof as well. Settling tip-toes first, and then slowly easing her weight down and sapping the levitation out of her body.

"What are you doing up here, by the way? Enjoying the view?" He isn't up here JUST to surprise people, right? M'gann pivots around as she speaks, to take a look as well.

"I was letting Bruce know I'm keeping out of trouble and laughing at Wally for his workload, actually," he answers with a grin. "Were you just flying around to rescue dudes in distress?"

[littlewhitelies]

"That wasn't the exact plan, but I wasn't going to ignore the opportunity if it came up." She runs her hand through her hair one more time, to make sure it's settled. "Training is good and all; really good, actually! But I want to help people, too."

Though that reminds her...

"...Maybe I should try and contact my uncle, too. Let him know I'm adjusting okay to a big school."

[turbedon]

"Tell him I say 'hi'," he quips, flopping back on the roof to admire the sky. "Are you adjusting okay?"

[littlewhitelies]

"I will! And that your um... reflexes are really great." Yes, that's a good way of putting it. She sits down on the roof as well, looking out over the school grounds and fixing her eyes on the horizon.

At the question, she loses the rest of that frazzled look and gives him (and the campus) a huge, bright grin.

"I love being here! Sure, there's a few bumps, but I like having a new room, classes, classmates, and school lunches, and even the homework. Maybe we have to share the TV, but that's okay." And the whole experience is so close to what she's seen on television (just with a few more explosions) that M'gann could weep. Or give an excited giggle. "And I get to learn a little more on how to use my powers!"

"If there's anywhere you're going to learn, it's gotta be here," he agreed with a smile. Truth be told, he'd been a little worried about how M'gann might adjust to so much... muchness, after how sheltered her uncle had kept her, so it was just as gratifying for him to see there hadn't been any need for worry.
