THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

"Oh! I get it!" He brightens and nods, glad to see they're on the same page. "Ha, sorry, most people say the opposite, so I thought you were, too. But you're right! I don't know why. I've asked about it, but..." He shrugs. "Could be a legal thing. Or they don't want it to make the students nervous. They'll think, 'wow, it must be scary here, the guards have guns!""

"I do not understand why that would make them nervous. Are you not there for their protection?"

The idea of not being constantly alert for danger, of seeing such nervousness as alarming, is new to her.

"By the way, if you see anyone dumping things into my lake, I give you full authorization to use any weapon you have on them."

She does not appear to be joking.

"I like the way you think. That's exactly what I think, too! Americans have this weird thing with guns. They love them, but they hate them! If anything, students would feel safer seeing guards with guns, especially if they don't have powers that could stop a troublemaker. Sure, if some big robots or the Brotherhood showed up, I couldn't do much, but for regular humans, it would be good to have! You point a gun at them and they'll stop, a lot of the time. And if they have guns—I can't stop bullets, so that isn't fair."

He nods, enthusiastically, pleased to have been given the go-ahead to use force. He doesn't seem to find her seriousness strange. "Sure! If you want me to protect the lake, I can do that! It's part of my rounds, anyway." Adachi has typically been assigned to the more out of the way areas on his patrols. "Can't have people messing with your place. I wouldn't want anyone dumping trash in my room."
