⊗ ACTIVITY CHECK IS UP. Due to mods getting it up a bit late, some concessions have been made and are mentioned in the first comment to the post.

⊗ Given this coming month will likely have a lull in major events while Xavier has the X-Men investigate the U-Men fall out, we'd like to direct all of your attention to the PLAYER PLOT post! Have an idea? Run it by us!

⊗ Speaking of player suggestions, while the school will be having a special social/dance for Halloween, we'd love some player suggestions for possible occurrences DURING the Halloween Ball! Post them here!

⊗ Once again, we need to apologize for the off timing on things lately. Mod lives have been exceptionally hectic as of late. Things should smooth out soon, but in the meantime, please pardon our dust, and of course we are always open to suggestions!


⊗ One of the things we will eventually be adding to the game is a directory for X-Teams as they form. If you already have a team that's established, let us know on this post!

SCHOOL NEWS

⊗ October 31st is HALLOWEEN! It's the one time of year mutants can really cut loose and not worry about judgement. There will be TWO open logs for the holiday going up on the 30th! The first is an outing into New York City to join the costumed festivities in town, including attending a fundraising rally for District X! The second will be the Halloween Ball as hosted by the staff! Join the masquerade and who knows? Thinks might get a bit 2spooky...

⊗ Professor X has put out a call to all students who have the initiative to start forming their own X-teams, given the ugly reality of their situation at the school was so thoroughly punctuated by Sublime's invasion.

⊗ Maya is getting a team together specifically for home territory defense.

⊗ Mr. Matou reminds of all to submit artwork for the school literary magazine! Poetry, visual arts, and even music, send it all in!

⊗ Another X-team is in the works with Shindou at the helm!

⊗ Natsuno is desperate for advice on how to deal with annoying roommates...

⊗ Like Professor X said, Sublime is in SHIELD custody and still hasn't thawed. That's pretty impressive. Also as noted in the post, the U-Men exosuits were indeed designed by Bolivar Trask, creator of the Sentinels, and built by Shaw Industries, the original bank rollers of Project Wideawake. Hmmmm...

⊗ Logan has not returned the National Film Board of Canada's calls. They're still sending him bribe beer.

⊗ Peace talks with Genosha are breaking down quickly. President Kelly is being lambasted in anti-mutant media for even bothering, while neutral media is calling to question his competence in this regard. Either way, things aren't looking too swell...

⊗ Mid-term elections are coming up, and the Creed political machine is now out in full force. A bi-partisan group of senators and representatives calling themselves the Last Stand, with Creed as their leader, has pushed the political machine for all its worth in the direction of Mutant Registration. We'll know how it all turns out come November...

⊗ The TransSpecies movement has largely died off since Sublime's arrest. There are still vocal proponents in the usual social media spheres, but as a more popular social happening, its momentum dried up when it became clear their spiritual leader was connected with all those murders.

Apparently they were so entrancing the enemy just fell to their knees to worship them on the spot.

There may or may not be rumors of a ghost that like likes to prank students, near the back stairwell.

...And it's definitely not Azusa using her ability to make things more interesting.

The last time there was a ghost rumor, Reki almost hit it with a bat, thinking it was a pervert (it liked to hang around in the bathroom). This could get interesting.

While eyewitnesses from the attack combined with missing the first day of class afterwards engendered rumors that Koshi Tanaka, captain of the baseball team, might not have made it, he appears to be alive and well. He says everyone's exaggerating about what happened.

In unrelated news, at least one student has claimed sightings of a pink gremlin scampering about the halls at night. Theories range from lingering U-men to aliens to devil lizard invasion.

It occurs to me that a school full of students who wear elaborate costumes as part of their dreams of becoming X-Men might make unfortunate choices when trying to do something different for Halloween, and that FOH and other groups might see the costumes of Halloween as an excellent cover to infiltrate the school. So with some friends looking like foes, some foes looking like friends, and most people largely unidentifiable unless you know them personally... We only have so many strong Psis here, this could be some awesome chaos.

That said, what'd make for a good team name for this lot? Thematic - they're one of the first teams to form this year? All foreign students, and all but one from Japan (sorry Bridget)? Something funny? Something badass?
