THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!


Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

[ There is a girl on the lawn with a bow and arrow. She pulls the string back until it's taut and sends the arrow flying high into the sky. Shading her eyes with a hand, she watches the arrow intently.

Hopefully, it doesn't... land on anyone as it returns to Earth... Tsuruhime runs up to the unlucky student or staff it lands near. She laughs, embarrassed. ]

Oh! I'm sorry. I was trying to figure out which club I should join.

[A canine sunbathing on the ground someplace on the grounds twitches his ear. Mm-hm - something moving through the air...

And striking the ground right next to him - he hops to his paws with a sharp whine!, scrambes a couple of steps aside!

Looks straight up to the approaching girl, tries to smooth himself out - ]

I -- ...with arrows?

[His voice is that of a stumbling kid.]

[ Oh, this is her first time seeing a real live bear. (She lived a very sheltered life at the temple and doesn't realize he's actually a wolf.) ]

Yes. Is that strange?

[ It never seemed to be at home. ]

-- Is it normal...? [Soft, increasingly casual.] I-I mean, how do the arrows tell you which club to join?]

[ She probably thinks he's a kami or the messenger of one. ]

It depends on my vision, and I think it's telling me that I should join an environmental club. Oh, if I did that, I'll be able to help protect my seas.
