THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

I never said anything about killing law-abiding mutants or making it so they can't eat. In Canada and UK they have lists, and they treat their mutants fine. They're not all dying and starving like you extremists say.

[Wait, who's the extremist here?]

So you're wrong about what's going to happen.

Yeah, right. Because those kids are going to grow up into adult humans, and then they'll just be second class citizens to you.

[Both of them. They're both the extremists.]

"What's going to happen"? It already does. Maybe if you opened your eyes for a few minutes, you'd notice.

[Not to mention, she isn't solely concerned with America, nor is she willing to take for granted that it's somehow impervious to the pitfalls she's seen abroad.]

Um, hello? I just said that's the opposite of what I want. I want a world without second class citizens, not different ones.

You know what I mean. I mean the list's not going to cause some huge problem like you're saying. The only real problem's going to be from mutants who don't want to follow the law!

[Eren's not only concerned with America either, but he considers himself A PATRIOT. Of course he supports the Friends of Humanity in other countries!]

If you want a world where everyone's equal, there have to be laws! We need to protect humans!

If mutants aren't following the law, it's because the law is being used as a cudgel against them. Ever heard of something called "civil disobedience"? If you're so worried about "protecting" humans [—could those air quotes sound any harsher?—] then you should see to it that the laws you're so desperate to put on the books are fair. As it is, the only thing people like you are breeding is a civil war. When it happens, the blood will be on your hands.

[This probably isn't a good time or place to start making ominous comments about civil wars, but Rin also sees that outcome as inevitable and even good, and she isn't the kind of person to hold her tongue.]

And for your information, it already is some huge problem. We get thrown onto the streets, beaten and abused for what we are, and then doctors won't treat us because our biology is too different, even while the medical community continues to spend all its time and resources on human problems instead of fixing that. When's the law going to do something about that, or is the ruling class the only one that needs protection?
