THE TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello, True Believers!
This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!
Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

It's not stupid if you are dangerous. And they could do that only with the really dangerous mutants, like the ones who can kill people with their minds or blow up buildings.
[Or the people who can shapeshift and rob banks!!!]
I want it because it's the right thing! For everyone's good! If the registration act does get made a law, I'll be the first one to sign up!
[He means this 100%, sadly.]

[She may have literally destroyed cities before but geez, she has standards.]
They might as well just have a registry of all the mutant criminals they've captured, even if someone can blow up buildings with their mind it doesn't mean they will.
[It's almost like people don't trust a person who can literally kill thousands out of sheer willpower!]

Of course they should have a mutant criminal registry, too. That would be the most important part. Maybe—the people who haven't actually done anything could be on a list only the government can access...Maybe.
Like terrorist watch lists!
[He knows all about those, having been raised by people who were on them.
And yes, he doesn't trust someone like that at all!]

[THE FACT THAT SHE DEFINITELY IS ONE IS BESIDE THE POINT.]

[And he doesn't like it, so you don't have to keep reminding him about it!]
And I don't think all of them are. Just a lot of them.
[The ones with really weak powers are probably not going to do anything too bad. Not that he exactly trusts them, either.]

[She's actually VERY FORCEFUL about this point. Her not-dad has had a lot of trouble with governments.]

The government puts people on the terrorist watch list all the time. Even when they didn't do anything. Stop asking for special treatment.
[Because that's what mutants do, right?]
