THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!


Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag, as well as the weekly updates to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

Gregory was walking around campus, checking out the new school he might join soon. It was a beautiful day, and a beautiful school. He could almost feel the wonder, the positive energy of this place.

He spun in a slow circle, examining the area, enjoying the sun. He lifted his arms as he spun.... and fell when that took his walking stick off the ground. He hit the grass, face first. "Not going to let it get me down!" he said cheerfully as he pulled himself back to his feet.

As he started to get up, he noticed a hand held out, offering to help him up.

"Are you okay?"

Okay, cute girl. He wondered if she was pious. He had a thing for holy women. HE took the offered hand and popped back to his feet. "Yeah, I just fell down, guess you think that's pretty lame." And the look on his face, the smug arrogant look completely said "yes, I just went there and I am not sorry." That look was ALMOST his regular one, he wore it so often.

"I'm Gregory."

"Morgiana."

Why did he look so smug about falling over? Morgiana had to think for a minute, translating what he had said carefully into her native tongue (probably Spanish, by her accent.). But apparently she eventually did get it, if her eyes narrowing in irritation and judgement were any indication.

As to her religious beliefs, there were no clues.

"Nice to meet you, Morgiana. You a student here?" he asked, looking around as he leaned heavily on his walking stick. The thing was a solid irregular rectangle of wood, taller than he was.

Scanning for more awful puns...It seems clear.

"That's right. I am learning where all my classes will be when I start."

"So you are trying to learn where to go to learn?" He asked with a grin.

"I...guess so."

When put like that it sounds kind of silly.

He grinned. "So once you find out, if you tell me, I can learn where you have learned that you will learn. Will that make us learned men?" he grinned. "Well, a learned woman in your case."

"Do you talk like this ALL the time?"

[gregorydeegan]

He grinned, impishly proud. "More or less." He leaned against his walking stick.
