THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!


Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag, as well as the weekly updates to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

[Sol's not the only one setting a terrible example. Your friendly neighborhood writing instructor is going to join you, only he has his pipe. Then he realizes he's forgotten his lighter inside. And he's too lazy to go get it.]

I'm sorry to interrupt, but do you have a lighter handy?

[Grumble frump. People he didn't want around. He had a lighter, but he wasn't about to tell Slayer that. Instead, he used the lighter to create a fireball in his hand.]

[It took a lot to shake Slayer up, so the fireball didn't bother him. He carefully lit his pipe and puffed.]

Quite an ability you have there.

Eh, more trouble than it's worth. [He took a drag from his cigarette and slowly exhaled the smoke.] If that's all you needed, you can go.

[Slayer shook his head.]

Not up for any conversation, I see. That's unfortunate.

[You can go now Slayer. Um, why aren't you leaving? shoo.]

You're just going to stand there and annoy me, right? [He knew this type of behavior well. And hated it.]

I don't intend to annoy. But if that's how you feel...

[He's going to walk away, though it's only a few feet to Sol's left. He'll remain silent for the time being.]

[mr_badguy]

... That's not really going away. [You can practically hear him grinding his teeth to dust.]

[...He was serious? Slayer gave him a disappointed look.]

A shame. I suppose I'll see you in the lounge, then. And thank you for the light, Mr...?

[Nope, not going away juuust yet. Almost there.]

Badguy. [He had enough sense to not be that rude.] Do you do this to everyone?
