THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

He beams a thousand watt smile at her and goes to work. Which is good as the hustler had been insistently calling him back.

He went through the obligatory 'just for fun' games. Then he bet the dollar. And when he turned the card up...it was the wrong card, but noone would know that, as he was using his power. As far as they could tell it was the right one. He bet again and again, allowing himself to lose a few times but steadily gaining until he had a respectable little pile of money and the hustler was sweating.

"Meet me at the bus terminal." He whispered. He knew how this would end and he was prepared but he didn't want to risk her life too.

If there's one thing Olivia hates, it's confrontation. However, she's not about to go anywhere without him. The whole reason she's here, after all, is to keep an eye on him so he doesn't get into trouble. That, and she cares too much about her fellow students to see any of them put themselves at risk... at least, not more than they have already.

"I'm not in any hurry if you're not." She may not want to use it, but if she has to, she does have an escape plan if things go south.

Yasaburo is both profoundly lazy and always in a hurry for something.

"Then I'll trust you to not let those guys make me a sidebar in the paper." He said, looking at the burliest dudes in the crowd, probably the hustler's buddies in case things went south.

He went back to the table and began racking up more wins, taking his money as soon as it was laid on the table just in case. Having flipped the script, Yasaburo's hustler/mark was looking like he was one step closer to the edge and about to break at any moment.
