THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

AND REMEMBER, RESERVES OPEN APRIL 3RD!

It's a pleasure, Tomas. I might just make you my go-to social guy here, if this works out. Always a benefit to have when living in a foreign country.

I would be honored. But I must warn you that I do tend to stay out a bit late.

... I guess I don't mind that much. I just don't want to indulge my jet lag that much.

My apologies. After all the travel I've done, the time seems to blend together at all hours, and I don't get as much sleep as I used to.

I hear tai-chi is good for that.

I find that writing works just as well, though I suppose it won't hurt to try a new technique.

Though I have grown accustomed to being the resident night owl.

Does no one keep a normal sleep schedule here?

I'm sure a few of the students and instructors do. Chances are I'm the worst.

I dunno. I had to step over Kannushi literally napping in the middle of the hallway.

He's... something else entirely. And I envy him for being able to sleep like that.

Trust me, I know. He has a bit of a reputation back in my region. Interpol has worked with him before and pretty much every officer that's worked with him has said the same thing. "Impossibly lazy". Still, he gets the job done, I guess...

I think I'll be avoiding him, though. Lazy people frustrate me.

Yes, I've heard the complaints about him from other instructors. But I didn't know he worked with Interpol.

We're in agreement there. I don't mind a little relaxation, but even I have my limits.

And I figure 'Mexican Coffee' is within those limits?

Indeed it is, though I don't indulge very often.

[He leaves out the part where the bartender knows him and they fix his drink as soon as he steps in.]

I guess you could say that. And new faculty is a cause to celebrate!

I guess that does make me feel a little special. -At least in a way not tied to her reputation.-
