Of course she didn't get mad. Patrica was her best friend. Sure, she was disappointed that she continued to smoke, but ultimately it was only because she wanted her friend to be okay. Besides, lecturing her wouldn't do either of them any good. They both knew what she did, and so she put the incident behind her, instead offering her friend a smile.

"Thank you. I've been feeling much better today." a slight pause. And then, hopefully "Would you like to sit together?"

It was painfully obvious her tray had enough food to feed the both of them.
