Canon: Final Fantasy XII
Brief Personality: Polite, unassuming, clever, knowledgeable, kind.
Brief AU History: His country is on the verge of a civil war, instigated by his brother. Larsa was doing what he could to disentangle Vayne's twisted skein but has since discovered his mutant abilities and must hide them for the sake of both his life and the dynasty he hails from.
Joined School: Beginning of the school year.

Character Journal:
Canon: Circle of Magic books by Tamora Pierce
Brief Personality: Affectionate and outgoing, Sandry sees potential friendship everywhere, and she will pursue those friendships with mule-headed stubbornness. A good listener with a big heart, Sandry also possesses an urge to fix things when she sees wrong, though she often steps on toes in her attempts to do good.
Brief AU History: Born into wealth and privilege, Sandry traveled the world with her parents until they were killed in an earthquake this past winter. Trapped for three days, Sandry was left with claustrophobia and an overpowering fear of the dark. Sent to live with her great-uncle, the ruler of a tiny European nation, Sandry tried to attend a regular school until her being a mutant caused friction between her and the other students. Now she comes to Xavier's, searching for a home and, as always, friends.
Joined School: Mid-June, this year.
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: All the friends. Sandry loves making friends, a lot. She's very good at being patient, and being stubborn.
Crafting! Sandry loves sewing and knitting and anything that involves thread or fabric. She'll totally be joining Feliks' Costume Club, but a general craft club could be fun too, or just craft buddies.
Someone to teach her how normal people live. She's well-traveled and has experienced a lot of cultures, but she's not really ever had to do much for herself. Like, laundry or simple cooking.
Sandry is still grieving her parents and her nanny. So she might need some help with that.

Canon: Tokyo ESP
Brief Personality: Rinka is a kindhearted, empathic person, who is really protective of her friends. If she sees something wrong, she'll try to do something about it, whether that means kicking ass and taking names or providing a shoulder to cry on. She's also extremely practical and frugal, and a bit of a romantic.
Brief AU History: Rinka grew up poorer than a church mouse. Her ex-cop father was pushed out of the police force for trying to root out corruption (and for being a mutant) and afterwards couldn't hold down a steady job. By high school Rinka was working part-time at a restaurant to make ends meet. By chance she encountered a boy just as her mutant powers emerged, and he soon had her running around Tokyo as a mutant vigilante duo, protecting the public from mutants who were misusing their powers. Trained from childhood in martial arts by her father, Rinka is a capable fighter, even without her mutant power.
Joined School: Beginning of September, last year
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Rinka is a very active girl! She needs running buddies for her early morning runs. I'm also looking for sparring buddies for her as well, for both aikido and kali/eskrima.
She the token girl of X-Factor. For the summer, she's working the lunch shift at a fancy-schmancy cafe in town.

Character Journal:
Canon: Alex Rider books by Anthony Horowitz
Brief Personality: Alex is charming, but reserved. Outside of sports teams, he has trouble working as part of a group. He is self-reliant and independent to a fault. And even though he tries to present a carefree and nonchalant attitude, his cynicism often peeks through.
Brief AU History: Alex grew up in London, England with his uncle, Ian. Life was great until his uncle died shortly after Alex turned 14. As it turned out, Ian was a spy. And a mutant. Plus, Ian's boss knew all about the fact Alex was a mutant. Through some very underhanded emotional manipulation, Alex was forced to became an operative. Over the next year and a half, he completed nine 'missions'. Some were at the behest of MI6, and for some he was 'loaned out' to other agencies, including the CIA and the ASIS. This all concluded last summer with the worst 'mission gone wrong' ever. MI6 reluctantly terminated its usage of Alex and allowed him to move to the States. He attempted to attend a 'normal' school at first, but various events changed his mind.
Joined School: Beginning of October, last year
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Alex is heavily involved in sports. Soccer, tennis, rowing, biking, skiiing, scuba diving, you name it he's probably tried it. So naturally he's on the school's soccer team. He also studies karate and is a black belt.
Eventually, eventually, I'd like for him to get on a training team. Either a home-front defense team or, depending on various things, a more espionage focused team. As of right now, he has no desire to be on any sort of training team and would flat out turn down anyone who offered.
Right now though, he's under quarantine after catching that nasty mutant virus that's been going around. So he feels like shit and is quite tired of being cooped up.

Canon: Haibane Renmei
Brief Personality: Reki's the classic Cool Big Sis type: easygoing, knows about all the things you wanna know about but still protective. She can be a bit of a night owl and sometimes dissapears for days while painting. Underneath all that, she's got some major guilt/deppression issues, tied into her memory problems.
Brief AU History: Reki woke up in eastern Europe with no memory of her previous life and wings emerging from her back. She spent a long time in a special institution for people with her exact problem, but she ended up falling into conflict with the authorities there. On leaving, she pursued a career in the underground arts scene and helped teach it to Morlock kids in Japan. She came to Xavier's six years ago but was one of the people caught by the Phoenix Incident and only recently woke up.
Joined School: Six years ago, technically, but only woke up about the beginning of the year
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:
-Reki's trying to form a team with a base in covert operations and information gathering.
-Reki will be heading back to Romania sometime soon and investigating some weird shit/her own origins. If you've read Hard Boiled Wonderland And The End Of The World, it will look familiar to you. Wanna go there with her, or encounter her out there or help?
-Reki needs people to feel useful to in order to feel good about herself. She's drawn to those in need of help and protection
-Do you like art? Wanna recognize her? Embarrass her about it?
-Her permissive teaching style probably brings her into conflict with straight-laced types. Could use some to show that.
-I'm so down for logging just completely mundane stuff. Wanna have our pups meet while shopping at the thriftstore? Doing laundry?

On a more cheerful note, I would absolutely love for Reki to teach Sandry how to do laundry. Girl hasn't washed her own clothes, ever. She's been paying to have it done, but is feeling a little ashamed because she knows other students can wash their own things.

Oh, cooking and cleaning, but she's picking up a little cleaning from her roommate and the school provides food, so she's not too pressed about that. Not that she wouldn't like to learn how to cook.

He has a year and a half experience working at the behest of a division of MI6, rather unwillingly but very effectively. And that's where a good deal of his baggage comes from. He almost never had back up and was left to hang out to dry more times than he can count, and he was never really given the choice to participate willingly. Granted, there were times he ran off and did his own thing, but that was mostly b/c of incompetent adults letting the ball drop.
So I can at least promise he'd probably be able to keep them out of jail, especially with his luck power.

Character Journal: this one
Canon: The Wicked Years
Brief Personality: Dolorous Edd+war guilt+mutant radicalism+Well Done Son Guy. Still kindof figuring himself out.
Brief AU History: Son of a famous mutant insurgent in Oz (which is in the North Atlantic, about at the latitude of Gibraltar). Joined the army when she died, did some bad stuff under orders as a grunt, got himself a boyfriend there, found out the army was using his mother's research, decided to burn all the things. Most recently involved in the riots and recruiting a mutant radical team.
Joined School: about 10 months ago
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas:
-Liir is a mutant radical. That means he needs both political friends and enemies. People who expect things out of him because of his heritage (which will take some digging to find) are especially appreciated. He's especially looking for recruits for Gene Nation, the x-team most aligned with Renko.
-People need to help him work through his guilt from his time in the army. Someone who has experience working with vets who did bad stuff might help.
-busybodies who can help him get over his shyness a bit and learn to have fun

Character Journal:
Canon: Wildstar (OC)
Brief Personality: While he looks scary, Zian is an awkward, slightly shy nerd that likes video games and comics on the side of saving lives and medical work. Loud and happy on the Network but a little more withdrawn and uncertain in person, he's a bit sensitive about his looks and his inability to speak, using ASL and having his mask translate the words. (His father was a technopath.)
Brief AU History: Russian second-gen mutant and member-ish of the ličínka (Russian Morlocks). Survived a government-issued mutant cleansing plague as a kid but lost his throat and mouth pieces because of it. Learned medicine from his father, and the family ran off to the US when he was ten. His dad died in 2013 and in his grief Zian disappeared into the sewers to play with the Morlocks for a while. Eventually decided to use his powers to help kids at Xavier's.
Joined School: First came to the school in October 2014, then left in April 2015 and now returned this month!
FOR RETURNING CHARACTERS any important information to fill in between the last time the game was open and now?: His mother's apartment blew up during riots and he had to leave to help her find a new place, and in the progress of that he was mistakenly kidnapped by a confused mutant group during some chaos and then ended up having to stay with them for a while.
Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: Reconnecting with friends, making new ones, dealing with the fact that his BFF left and he's not sure if he's his own boss right now or not, getting more involved in the X-Teams, Getting chummy with teachers and being a dork with the kids, since he's on that beautiful cusp of 'maybe-I'm-an-adult-now' 22.

Canon: Kim Possible
Brief Personality: Plucky, optimistic and brave to the point of being reckless, but these traits mask her very ow self-esteem. She relies heavily on hero worship to compensate for this.
Brief AU History: Grew up in her Dad’s R&D firm. Fought some super villains with her older cousin when she was twelve, stopped a mutant from destroying her high school when she was thirteen. The institute took her in when her DNA was dissected, and she was found to be a mutant.
Joined School: Ummmm July…ish. I’m a little confused myself.

Plans/CR seeking/other ideas: First and foremost Joss needs to join an X-team. Then she needs to learn martial arts and make friends, oh and she needs a hero to worship. Well maybe more than one, it’s kind of her thing.
