HEAVY IS THE HEAD, Part One Finish

Some threads sort of petered off, but the results are ultimately the same. Here they are as follows:
- The Brotherhood attacked the National Guard relief efforts in District X in the name of Genosha. Genosha has accepted this claim, and all of the Brotherhood were wearing variations on Genoshan uniforms.
- In spite of this, it was obvious to the X-kids helping out in District X that the National Guard wasn't just there for relief efforts, but seem to be actively keeping people inside the area. This is happening in mutant ghettos all over the country.
- The Brotherhood (some rather gleefully) pointed this out during the fight, nothing that the X-Men were also considered potential threats to national security
- The X-kids were temporarily taken into military custody, had their wounds treated, and were released into Xavier's care shortly thereafter
- Due to all of this, getting out of the country through official means for a mutant is damn near impossible, so the Institute has been more crowded than usual during the holidays.
We'll be bringing in the New Year with another Newsreel Mingle when it happens, but for now, look forward to a special announcement from Emma Frost with regards to...

I promise, it's not you, Xavier, it's me. My task-load is actually a lot more than I thought it was going to be with the holidays, finals, and upcoming theatre things, so I'm going to go ahead and drop. I'm sorry I only got to play with a few of you, but at least I'm going without leaving threads majorly hanging and CR just left in the dust.

an apology + a hiatus

First, to those I have threads with: I'm very sorry about the sudden radio silence; I came down sick, decided to take a few days off, and within that span my grandfather landed in the hospital for a still-indeterminate amount of time.

...which is why I am putting myself on hiatus for a bit, because I'm pretty scattered right now! The group stuff I have, please feel free to move on ahead without me. Sorry for the inconvenience.

DROP

It is with some sadness that I'd like to announce my dropping of the game. I'm sorry guys, I love the place a ton but my muse for the game has been near dead and it's not fair to you guys for me to not give my all to a game that matters to me. The fact is, when I can't get excited about the one thing I was excited for since I joined the game, it's time to drop for a while. Hopefully if the muse comes back I can jump back in but for now, I'm afraid I must be off until I'm feeling the burning need to uppercut things.

It's been a fun ride, I'm glad I was able to play with you all and help the game along. Oulan will still be around teaching girls how to punch things, Alicia will still be in class but moving back to her family's house and working at their bakery again.

Hiatus/Slowstatus warning

Hey, just letting everyone know that IRL is a little insane with family stuff. I will still do my best to reply to all tags within 24 hours, but I will not be actively keeping up with plots, tagging out, making open threads until December. If you want me/need me to tag into a specific thread, just pm the link to the journal (Or one of the journals) you would like me to reply with.

Aqua is still recovering from her illness, Eli can be mostly abed, Tiamaris can be presumed to be reading or training whenever. Rhia...I need to find out what the mission story is, if she goes on that, I will try to keep active with that. If not, presume she is in the trees. Greg can be presumed to be trying to cheer people up and raise morale.

So yeah, my first time putting in for a hiatus, so if I do something wrong, just let me know.

SINISTER LEGACY

A Sinister Legacy [FINAL STAGE]

Hello True Believers.

This is the final stretch of the Sinister Legacy event! Through research, interrogation, and help from Professor Xavier, the location of Sinister's lab has been found—a live, active one.

There's just a slight problem: it's in the Savage Lands.

In Antarctica.

Now, while you'll have access to the Blackbird, that's still a considerable distance—and there will most likely be a fight at the end. Volunteers will be needed for the mission, once again.

You can sign up as a team or individually for this event.

And as always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Ah yes, hi... unfortunately my voice for Kaguya in XI has dwindled to the point that I'll have to drop her...

OOC Event Wrapup Post

Good morning, True Believers.

The plot logs have been going on for a while now, so in the interest of freeing people up to post about what's been going on since the night of the recovery mission, we're going to go ahead wrap things up OOC here (and IC on the network, shortly.) Feel free to continue tagging the logs as long as you'd like, but we're going to be moving things along from this point on.

The key things that happened during the event were:
-While rioting did break out near the lab in District X, efforts to defend it were successful by and large. Several of the rioters have been taken into custody, and peace, however tenuous, has been restored.
-The runaways found Sinister's lab and managed to recover some research notes... which were, unfortunately, encrypted.
-The recovery team caught up to the runaways, and were able to bring them home in one piece... at least, most of them.
-Which brings us to the biggest shakeup of this event: Nightcrawler is no longer with us.

A news mingle just went up here, and an IC announcement (which will IC-ly take place before the news post) will be posted soon.

hiatus

Hiatus and apologies.

So you all might have noticed I kind of dropped off the face of the eart. Those on Plurk already know why adn I should really have done this a weeks ago but things were really bad and now they are just hectic. Having my pericarditis flare up was bad but now things are just too hectic getting my comic Nine Twilights ready for launch later this month. Things have just been kind of spinning away from me in the RP area and It's not fair for me to keep dropping the ball on things.

So with that said, I'm going on hiatus until the 21st. Flik you can say fell into a coma after charging through the mansion while still injured from his fight with Zancrow and the illness.

Oulan let's say left campus for a bit to help an old client.

Alicia is still around and trying to learn to control her powers. I'll actually try to keep her active during my free time but the others I think I gotta throw to the side for a couple weeks to get control of my time a bit better to something I can handle with the limited amoutn of time between finishing building the site for the comic and going over and editing pages as they come in to build a good buffer for the launch so my artist isn't overstressed trying to keep up with the pace.

So with that I'm going to try to keep up with as much as I can with Alicia as to not let everyone down but I can't guarantee anything.

Hey, all. I've got a sad announcement to make.

While I've had a lot of fun here, and been glad to be part of it, the time's come for me to drop Kanji from this game. On an IC level, he'll be dropping from X-Factor due to family pressures but fading into the background of student life otherwise.

Thank you to all Kanji's CR over this past year, and my apologies to anyone I'd wanted to play with but hadn't yet managed to get into action with. You guys are all awesome.
