THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

[This affirmative answer is more than enough for Gilberte. She doesn't have a speech prepared, but she likes to make things up as she goes along.]

Then allow me to offer you this, Monsieur! The clubs for fighting and war, they receive many times the number of interest than the club for drama. Always they speak of the teams and the combat!

[Gilberte isn't really allowed to do things like fight. Also, she might be exaggerating.]

And yet, to win the people with a play, would this not be beautiful, to move their hearts with drama? We should bring our theatre to the humans, of course! To do this, the drama club would need very much more support.

And of course, more members. And more—finance. So that is why I, Gilberte de Rais, am announcing to the school this need most dire! So that we can put on this most beautiful play.

[ It's actually quite a tempting suggestion, in fact. He had long appreciated the need for pursuits other than that of pure practicality such as fighting, and it has been well-established that the arts do heal the soul.

But putting on a play to the general public? That might be too ambitious an idea. ]

Of course, there would be dress rehearsals! As pilot runs, as you say. We have had plays for the students, by the students already. These things, they happen often enough. They are not sufficient. We require a greater audience! The wider world, the humans! They will no longer see us as the quiet, secretive school. They will see us as great artists!
