THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

[Hunter actually looks a little starstruck. This student is pretty confusing - Hunter's not really sure if they're a girl or a really pretty guy - but honestly that kind of takes a backseat to seeing someone's powers in action. Not that he hasn't seen footage before, but it's surreal, watching someone he's talking to use powers, and so casually, at that.]

[It's kind of not the power you'd see fighting an alien invasion in New York or anything, but it's still a superpower.]

[Who knows, maybe he is pretty lucky.]

[Then it actually registers what the blond mutant said - they're coming down - so he scrambles to climb off of his bed and stumble towards the door.]

[... Maybe if he asks, the student will show off their power a bit more? Or would that be rude? He has no idea what the mutant etiquette is here.]

[Yes, good. That is the sort of look Feliks is pretty sure people should have when they talk to him. He waves a little at the camera, and shuts it off as he waltzes out the door of his own dorm.]

[It takes him a little while to come down from the single rooms, but not long -- he pitter-patters quickly down the stairs in his bare feet, and is knocking on the door a moment later.]

Hey! So~ Did nobody give you the grand tour yet?

[He's been working on his thesis for like, minutes, he could totally use the excuse to run around a bit!]

[He'll just... hop over to the door and open it and he wrestles he shoes on and... there. Okay.] Well, I mean, my dad and I did tour the school, I guess, when we still weren't sure about whether I should attend. Does that count? [It wasn't very 'grand'. But this student kind of seems like the kind who'd call any tour they gave a 'grand' tour.]

No, 'cause like, you're just looking around then, and you're listening to about a million things, so you still spend ages getting lost every time you need to go to the bathroom?

[He shrugs a little, waiting for him out in the hall.]

I didn't even get that one before I turned up! A teacher had to help me find the dorms, and I still managed to get lost inside them somehow.

[Right. There are seasons here. He keeps forgetting that. Just going to. Bundle up in a jacket. This is going to take some getting used to.]

Uh - aren't you going to get chilly out there? Wearing that? I mean. Unless. You know? [Powers?]

Oh. We're gonna be staying inside, though? And if we don't...

[He shrugs, briefly turning his top into a puffy pink jacket. The short-shorts are unaffected.]
