THE TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello, True Believers!
This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!
Be sure to read up on all game information and the "!event" tag, as well as the weekly updates to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.

Re: Nora Valkyrie | RWBY | 11th Grade
Gregory had been giving himself a tour of this place, leaning heavily on his staff as he walked, his limp worse than usual today, his leg paining him. He stopped when he heard the familiar, and gleeful, sounds of destruction.
The glee that something hadn't broken, with the implication that it meant breaking it would be all the more fun had him turning his head. And he saw the way she was dressed, and the destruction. "RACHEL!?" he asked, over joyed. Then he saw her face and sank a bit. Ah well, not Rachel Hart, but who knew, this girl could be fun too. And she was kind of cute... Not that he would ever date anyone who reminded him so much of his best friend, that would just be weird.

"Uh..." Well, but the guy looked disappointed, and even if it was a case of mistaken identity, it would be rude to just kind of... brush him off, so instead she grinned, rather chipper, held out her hand, and chirped, "Nope! I'm not a Rachel, though I think I was friends with one in elementary school. I can't remember if she was the one that I ate all of the cupcakes she brought in for the class party or not. But I am Nora! How are you?"

She looked him over one more time - obviously the stick wasn't a weapon, and, Nora figured, it probably shouldn't be. "But fire, huh? That's cool. I like my mutant power, but I do wonder sometimes what it'd be like to light things on fire or shoot lasers out of my eyes or control people's thoughts."

... Well, no one else was using it right at that second, probably no harm in going right back out the open door. She wanted to see! Other people's mutant powers were pretty cool. Especially when she didn't fully understand what they meant.
Through the door she went, with a bouncy jaunt in her step, and swinging her arms a little too wide.

Face plant onto the floor of the danger room. "I need my staff to walk, right," he said with a groan. "I'm so lame."

Which, the 'oo' continued right through the guy tripping, and turned into something of a squeak as he fell. Of course, Nora couldn't leave him on the ground like that, so the first thing she did was jump forward to try to help him back up. That should be pretty easy, given her strength.
"Hey, well, yanno... some people do. But you're not lame. You're lame, but you're not like lame-lame, you know?"
