THE TEST DRIVE MEME

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

We also ask that you please pardon our dust. We're working very hard to get this game up and running and hope to be open by September 1st!

[Being a high-schooler is awkward as Hell, and Feliks understands this on a deep and personal level. He grins, acting as much as he can as if he didn't see Shindou crying, as if his cheeks aren't still wet despite that hasty attempt at drying them.]

No big! It's just, like, good to see you again, you know?

And wow, do I look that much older? Here, what if I do this?

[He changes his outfit into a little Catholic schoolgirl sort of number, as if an excessively mature wardrobe was betraying his age. (Spoiler: It wasn't.)]

Thanks. [It's good to be welcomed back, if nothing else. He almost smiles.] It's been five years, Feliks. Everyone looks older to me, except -

[A hard blink interrupts him when Feliks' attire flits to an totally different ensemble without warning. Head tilts to one side, taking in the new duds...which are certainly less "mature," he's right there.]

Actually...you do look closer to the way I remember, like that.

[He's not even teasing, either. That's a perfectly serious tone right there, tinted with just a shade or two of surprise. And, perhaps, a little amusement.]

[That little hint of a smile, that maybe-amusement, is a relief. There's so little Feliks can do about the people who lost those 5 years -- but maybe, maybe if he can make them smile and relax a little, that would be good?]

Right, don't I? I guess I was just trying to look, like, professional and junk for the class I was TA-ing... But where's the fun in that, right?

Oh -- so, you're getting your degree here, now?

[Shindou'll file that away for future reference. It's been hard to figure out who's still studying and who's simply there for superhero duty, since most every face he knows is past high school age.

He brightens just a little bit more.]

You should probably change back for the class, though. [School is still Serious Business, after all.] What course are you TA-ing for?

[Feliks shrugs, taking a seat on the bench near the statue.]

I don't know. Fai's a legit teacher now, so they're gonna have to get used to being a bit scandalized anyway? Plus, these tights are like, max adorable.

Oh, and I'm TA-ing for Political Science! And any related classes that get enough people -- like, International Relations and junk like that, you know?

[Who let him do this? Well... This is the school that hired Shego, after all. His own eccentricities are mostly harmless.]
