THE TEST DRIVE MEME

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

We also ask that you please pardon our dust. We're working very hard to get this game up and running and hope to be open by September 1st!

[Saber paused then and frowned. If she couldn't do much for herself, then it was her duty to aid her. Even if she didn't like it. She then sighed.]

You can call me Saber. It is more fitting these days.

Palutena. That's my name. It's a pleasure.

I am sure you somehow manage to find pleasure in everything.

There's no sense in not trying. Giving it your best is how you get things done.

That's close enough. After all, not many real knights exist these days. A lot of people have the title of "Sir" but not many are heroes.

That would be because chivalry is archaic and unnecessary in this day and age. Honor is a hindrance.

I don't think that at all! Honor is a shining trait fit for gods.

We are not gods.

There's nothing that says we can't carry the same burdens.

Attempting to emulate an ideal that is impossible to achieve will only lead to despair. [pause] But I will not stop you.

As long as you take pride in your own work and know that mistakes are part of the learning process, despair will always be out of reach.
