THE TEST DRIVE MEME
This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!
We also ask that you please pardon our dust. We're working very hard to get this game up and running and hope to be open by September 1st!

[He sets his mouth in a line, and his expression takes on something a little more sombre than annoyed. Damn it, X-23, he's happier being annoyed.] I guess people might take it that way.
[No outright admissions, here. Those are for healthy people.]

*Being all pouty doesn't suit you.*
Move past it.

[And he knows the poutiness doesn't suit him. Irritation does. That's why he'd gone with that. But he can't say that because it would be admitting his feelings and he just doesn't do that.]

Which is the only option. It cannot be fixed.

You don't know that I'm not doing anything. And I'm perfectly aware it can't be fixed.

*Part of it is idle curiosity, but it might be something of value to her to try and apply to her own various 'things she cannot fix' list she hasn't completely gotten past. Like all the people she has killed in her life.*

Learning what's happened the past five years, trying to readjust my perceptions of the people that are still here and familiar to me. [He will never call Fai "Mr. Flourite", though. Or stop scolding him. That's too much.] Resuming my training with new teachers and trying to figure out where I fit now that things have changed.
[Yep, all things he is honestly doing. Whether all of them have anything to do with moving on might be debatable, but some of them are. Unfortunately, there's probably nothing in there that will help X-23 with her particular issues.]

*Sadly, no, none of this is really useful for her. Then again all of these are things she has attempted in the past, so perhaps she can be of help instead.*
You should not try so hard. It is too much to do in a short span of time. Start with acclimating yourself to the new dynamics with your former peers first. Then worry about the other items.
*Although she knows full well that he will not do any such thing, she has to say it. It is how she has improved herself since the Phoenix Event.*
