THE TEST DRIVE MEME

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

We also ask that you please pardon our dust. We're working very hard to get this game up and running and hope to be open by September 1st!

The costumes look pretty [cool] dumb too. Not as dumb as the older ones, though...

He'll also not say that it looks a little too quirky for his tastes. He will probably end up looking into it still, but... chances of him sticking with it aren't looking so good right now.]

[Green is calm... But when he looks closer, there's some black underneath. That's pain. The way it's buried under all that green means it's intentionally hidden, too. Best not to pry. He'll file it away, though.]

Do you mind if I ask what you can do? I haven't met many mutants before coming here.

Dowsing. It's not very impressive, but I like it well enough. [A soft, easygoing chuckle.] I never have to worry about losing my things.

Ah, that sounds useful. I can see auras and the past. ...Basically a human lie detector.

Ah, I see... That sounds pretty useful, too! [Or at least, the aura-reading part did. Lyserg's not really sure he'd want to see the past... It'd be helpful, certainly, but... some things are just not meant to be seen.]

It can be. [Seeing the past may surround him with violence, but he can find out if the person he's looking for was here.] Especially for something like law enforcement.
