THE TEST DRIVE MEME

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

We also ask that you please pardon our dust. We're working very hard to get this game up and running and hope to be open by September 1st!

"I attempted to live a normal human life. I am bad at it." She still flinched slightly at the hug connecting, and took nearly a whole second to hug back, which for someone with her reaction times is an eternity of inaction. She was pleased that Fai was mostly the same. Once she got past that he was older, his scent had changed now that he was past all the hormone based teenage years, but other than those details he was Fai.

"I am still not technically finished with high school. I nearly finished once but there were complications." Complications she did not feel the need to go into, "I did go to prom, and danced, and wore a sexually revealing dress that accentuated my waist-hip ratio and my legs." See, she has come so far in life, she danced!

It's not as if he doesn't notice the flinch and the delayed reaction, but considering how far she's come from where she used to be, he still treasures this awkward hug as something rather amazing. Even if it still carries with it the feeling that yes, if she wanted to, she could probably snap his spine in at least five different ways without even trying that hard. That doesn't matter, because he knows she wouldn't.

"Mm, I did hear something about an... incident, yes." Faculty gossip like cats, and Fai has been there long enough to tease out an interesting rumor or two, at least. "But I am glad to hear that. I'm pretty sure dancing in a sexually revealing dress is a rather essential part of life - though I might of course be biased. And since you're not done yet, you'll get a chance to do the things you liked all over again." He laughs quietly. "But it's really not necessary to live a completely normal human life - and anyway, 'normal' can be stretched pretty far."

"I was staying out of trouble," not that she usually started trouble. She found it on accident or it chased her down as she wandered away from her past. She faked a limp to get away from metal detectors and pretended to be a mousey bespecled bookworm named Mary. But, eventually, someone caught up with her and there were ninjas. "I even attempted romantic relations. It was... nice."

"I should be done before the winter break, I haven't decided what to do after that." This was not a no to more sexually revealing dresses, just that she didn't think she should be a blight on another prom. "Plus my presence at a prom here would just be another variable liable to create a violent event." Because she was more than aware of the school being a threat to itself. All evidence supported this.
