THE TEST DRIVE MEME

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

We also ask that you please pardon our dust. We're working very hard to get this game up and running and hope to be open by September 1st!

At least Fai is well aware how Feliks likes his booze by now, and only gets exotic liquor if it is in fact hard booze, nothing weak enough to not be usable to remove paint, or sweet enough that it defeats the whole point, according to Feliks.

Well, apart from the time when he got him caramel vodka, just to see his horrified face.

"Well, if it's you saying it, I bet it is the very cutest top in all of Paris, and that everyone who knew it existed but didn't get it probably went home and, like, cried." Hello valgirl accent, his old friend, he's come to talk with you again. "And I know, right? Sometimes I make myself look younger just so that it'll be a bit more fun."

Feliks likes to think the accent is pretty much his fault. It's just a good thing Fai hasn't started messing up his Vs and Ws when he drinks, which is rarer for him now than it used to be, but still an occasional thing.

"So, like, what are we doing out here, then? You have to go show me the dress! We could totally do some damage to those drinks before we have school stuff to worry about, too."

The accent is definitely Feliks' fault, and sometimes Yuui will give him an amused look and prod him with a fork when he suddenly starts going heavy on it while they're with their family, or eating at some posh restaurant. And his mom gets a thoughtful look in her eyes if Fai is there, and it always unsettles him a little bit.

"You are right, of course. You have to show me exactly how good you look in that dress, and... yes, definitely. Let us get slightly disgraceful now before we have students judging us for being mildly hungover." He presses a small kiss to Feliks' nose. "So, do I carry you there, or will you in fact get down and walk?"

Well, he was going to get down and walk, but now that Fai mentions it...

"You have to carry me. It's like, part of your X-man training! Making sure you're like, in good condition and stuff, since we don't have to do gym classes anymore."

Really, he was doing the world a favor!

"God in Heaven, you are the absolutely laziest person I've ever known." Fai said, even as he started walking. "I hope you know that while we're doing work as X-men, I'm not carrying you. Oh and thank you, you already know that I'm constantly practicing gymnastics and acrobatics, but of course I must have neglected the important muscle groups only trained by carrying around manic pixie dream bums."

All of this, which really should've sounded like whining, came out in a light stream of amused prattling as Fai headed in the direction of his room. "Also, your skirt is slipping upwards, and while I personally appreciate and admire your ass, you might want to imagine it a bit longer for a while."

Why though, DW? /pouts

"Wow, how could you even think that about me when I'm totally looking out for you?"

He's so hurt, Fai. So hurt. Can't you hear it in his voice? No? Weird. Can you feel it in the way he nuzzles against your neck, wrapped around you like an extraordinarily affectionate sort of pretzel? The truth of the matter is that he's not motivated by laziness this time (as willingly as he'll admit to himself that he often is). It's just that Fai is so... Fai, and he missed him so much, and it's just better to be clinging to him than not clinging to him, and do you know how hard it is to walk backwards while pasted to someone's chest?

"Like, what would you do if you totally didn't do any carrying me around practice, and someone like turned me into a mermaid or something and I couldn't walk? You'd have to leave me in their villainous clutches, 'cause you couldn't carry me home! I'm planning ahead, God."
