THE TEST DRIVE MEME

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

We also ask that you please pardon our dust. We're working very hard to get this game up and running and hope to be open by September 1st!

[A part of her wants to hiss something along the lines of, "not so loud!" -- but she knows that would be pointless. There's no one else around. Even though she prefers not to be reminded of her identity, pointing that out would do nothing but make her look foolish and petty. So, instead, she takes the conversation hook the other student offers. As she speaks, she becomes less bristly and settles back into a stoic, queenly persona.]

English. [She chooses not to mention the fact that it is remedial English, thinking it obvious.] Are you studying Chinese?

[That question actually amuses him a bit. Maybe it shows on his face. About the 'student' thing...] It's only light reading. [M-hm.]

I'm sorry- I already know your name, but I haven't introduced myself. [It takes a disturbing amount of self-control to stop himself from putting his hands together and bowing, because of Elsa being a queen and all. But those days are behind him. Right? Right.] My name is Sima Shi. If you happen to take World History, you may be in my class.

[Does he look like a teacher? Hopefully, he at least carries the air of someone important. Then again, a lot of people here do. Or don't. It's two extreme ends, honestly.]

[She looks alarmed for a second as she registers the degree to which she has messed up, but it's gone a second later as she bows her head in deference. Yes, she's the queen of a European country, so what? That doesn't mean she thinks she's better than a teacher.]

It's excusable. I'm trapped at the age of 21, after all. [no he's not he's just fucking with you] Class is starting in around 5 minutes- perhaps we should hurry.

[She chooses to withhold judgment on the 'trapped at 21' thing, because the reality of it is that there are people here who conceivably could be in that situation. Instead, Elsa nods about the comment on the time, and begins looking at the room numbers of the classrooms nearest them. She knows that she has to be in this building...]
