THE TEST DRIVE MEME

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

We also ask that you please pardon our dust. We're working very hard to get this game up and running and hope to be open by September 1st!

[ he looked a little lost, which wasn't that unusual considering that he tends to wander around the halls very much like a seagull with a few feathers missing from its wings and a slight concussion. stopping in the middle of the room, Jack swayed in place, raising a finger as if he was going to count off something and then frowned. ]

I'm not sure if I understand what I have for you unless it's to say that you are looking rather charming this morning.

For some of the students and staff here? It just might be. [Moxxi was more of an early riser, waking up in the morning hours unless she had some company over. Looking as good as she did took time, and she wasn't about half-ass it. She had a reputation to uphold, after all.]

[Moxxie grinned. This one was rather handsome, and she wasn't about to turn him away.]

[ he grabs a chair and takes a seat, smiling a little in a faintly hazy morning after kind of way. his accent was almost as hard to pin down as he was being a smattering of American, a touch of British, a scattering of some tropical place and a dash of slang. it didn't help that he tend to slur his words when he felt lazy. ]

I'm terribly sorry if I had disturbed you but it seems I've managed to make myself lost again. [ Jack's not too upset about the lost part since he felt that giving his students the task to figure out where he had gone was almost as fun as trying to teach them how to think.

It's amazing how much space is inside a building that doesn't really looks so big.

[Moxxi reaches for a nearby cabinet, pulling out and emptying its contents.]

I'm actually surprised that you haven't had that much company. [ he sees nothing wrong in wearing clothing that a person was comfortable with no matter what little they may wear. of course there comes a limit to how that clothing is worn - say like wearing wearing a g-string on one's head - but Jack finds it rather pointless to natter one about their way of dress. ] A fine lady such as yourself shouldn't be all be her lonesome.

[ oh a drink! he wasn't one to turn down drinks either, but seriously he really shouldn't because of the day thing, which was why he he nods. ] I'd love one.

Let's be honest here, sugar. [Moxxi began, as she poured and handed him a drink before serving herself. Handling machinery and drinking? Why the hell not.] Most of the time, people only stop by just so they can get a good look at my tits. [She knew that she had a nice rack.]

The actual times when they need me to fix something aren't as frequent as you might think.

[ he really wasn't trying to look, but at her mentioning her rack has him looking. he takes a sip and then points vaguely in her general direction, looking up with a slight twitch to his lips because, well, getting slapped by women for doing anything around them is normal and he was expecting a slap just by sheer principle. ]

What a magnificent pair too. [ another twitch because there went his mouth not remember to consult with his brain which is pretty normal considering his lack of booze in the last day. he takes another sip and rallies another compliment ] They are almost as beautiful as your smile.

[ another moment to look at his glass and to change gear on his thoughts. ] Does that a lot, does he? I don't think I've met the man yet.
