A Sinister Legacy

As you no doubt saw here the prisoner exchange has gone... Badly. To say the least. This leaves students of the school with a few options on what to do!

1. Help the SHIELD agents on the front lawn survive against the school security systems! This will be combat heavy and will involve NPC assists from Nick Fury

2. Help protect other students, and those who can't fight, get to safe places! Not every section of the school is as automated as others and there are places that Sinister's infection of the security systems hasn't reached. This can be combat heavy or not at all, and will involve NPC assists from Storm

3. HELLIONS your girl No Girl needs help. Also the Professor and Logan. Your job is to head to the sublevels and break in to the most heavily secured area of the school and stop whatever is causing things to go haywire, and possibly stop Sinister himself from whatever he has planned. As usual, you will be assisted by Emma

You can use this player to plot out what your character will be doing. We'll be setting up the OPEN event log shortly, with a reminder of what all is going on, plus a subthread for the Hellions rescuing the Professor. Takakage will be running a field clinic. He doesn't have Zian's supercharged healing anymore, so any student or staff with a similar ability will be very welcome to assist. He also has hydrokinetic powers which can be used to disable electronic systems by shorting them, but he'll mostly be doing assist instead.

Mitsutada will likely meet up with the Dragons and join them to do what Alric decides appropriate. Otherwise he's open to backing anyone up while fighting.

Feliks has been X-manning long enough to know a fair bit about the security systems, and has a power that's useful for temporarily disabling technology (by making it something else for a bit), so he's going to be helping students get to safe places. Or non-students, whatever! Point is, he's going to be suiting up and rescuing people. It'll be a good time, so hit me up if your ass needs saving!

Hijikata will try to gather the team he's advising -- that is, Alric, Tiamaris, and Mitsutada -- and bring them up to the lawn to help defend the SHIELD agents. Too much good offensive power there to waste on babysitting duty. I'd be happy to have him team up with anybody else up there, too!

Krista will try to help other people reach safety (possibly with her team?), but she's Krista, so she's likely to put herself at extreme risk to do so, and may need a little help herself...

Welp, Nora's a Hellion, so it's time RAID THOSE LOWER LEVELS, SHIT GONNA BLOW UP, THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME.

Sakuya is going to be in a minimal danger zone due to lack of combat ability, but as with the last time the school had to go into lockdown/be evacuated/whatever, she's gonna be helping out the students and ensuring their safety. Her powers are literally useless for this one.

So hey it's chris he who plays she who punches a lot calling her team. What do you guys prefer to do. I'm leaning towards #2 for Oulan and her team because Oulan is all about protecting people who need the help and Shield can help themselves a little better than others.

Flik I'd like to throw at the shield agents. He'll probably be trying to attract fire of things for a bit. I'd like to fall in with an X-Team or something with him but yeah. He'll be speeding around.

Jun is not really ready to fight and she's not part of a team, so she will probably be hiding. With Jack. Probably. Anyone else is welcome to try to keep her safe and maybe get her to calm down enough to not be on fire...literally. Honestly if she's not with Jack (or even if she is) she will likely be hiding under a bed.

Labrys was not on the lawn, and so will be assisting other students. She's not a part of a team so will be completely on her own. Not to worry, though, she's battle-experienced. She just never wanted to fight again.

She might also TRY getting involved if she finds out that Martha is in danger. She's her friend, yeah?

Flandre will likely be with her team, wrecking shit and helping Nicki Minaj Fury Not Die. She can help out others if necessary, however, but will try to rejoin her team if separated from them until ordered otherwise.

Kaede will be disorganized until she meets up with her team. Her power is conveniently mostly bulletproof! Yay telekinesis. But it's also more or less completely disabled if she's in pain.

Eren Yeager: Eren will basically be helping innocent people, whether this means students or members of SHIELD. He'll stupidly disregard his own safety, but he thinks this is all right, since he is capable of recovering from all but the most damaging fatal strike. He's not on a team or anything of the kind, but he will assist people who are assisting others!

Gilberte de Rais: Although Gilberte is a member of team 4, she is basically the worst team member ever. Unless someone can get her in line, she may well start creating monsters in an attempt to "help", which is likely to make things worse.

Caelius will be doing what he always does during events like this, which is defending the children. I'm willing to have him in both more and less combat heavy areas; he is surprisingly tenacious in situations where his home has been threatened.

Rin... I'm actually not sure about? She'll probably go wherever she thinks she's most needed. She actually won't put up much of a fuss about leaving the below deck situation to the Hellions, so she might even defer to Emma on this one.

Liara will go wherever Oulan directs her, tbh—so, probably protecting other students. She's good with psychic barriers, so she can provide cover for those that need to make an escape! That said, she's almost certain going to be shaken up over this, since this is her first time seeing any sort of action outside of the danger room.

Ryuuna is completely useless in combat, but she's absolutely available for healing the injured :) She'll also probably follow Gilberte wherever she goes, even if that's into places where someone with no combat ability really shouldn't be.

Alric will mostly likely lead his team into the most combat-heavy situation, since they're (at least as far as their training has indicated) somewhat better suited to attacking than protecting, at least when it comes to automated systems.

But if there's more of a need for #2, they can certainly do that!

Rhia - I'm thinking about having her get badly hurt. She's up in a tree on the grounds, has no clue what's going on, has never seen combat, so I'm thinking of getting her shot. Anyone want to wrestle an injured little girl from an over protective tree?


Aqua - Calling the Weenie Squad! Aqua is going to want to get her kids set up inside, tasked with helping triage everyone who gets rushed inside, so that if someone is hurt, the team would get them to the medical area, if they're shocky, would get them somewhere they can sit and work on calming them down, and having them watch over all the younger kids, keeping them from running out and getting themselves hurt.

Once her team is settled, she's planning to go out to help from the outside, finding people who are hurt and getting them inside, and getting people's backs.

Okay some basic plans, but please feel free to bounce some ideas with me!

Souji will be heading wherever Hijikata is heading, aka going for Option 1. Meaning: Engage berserk mode! \o/ Lets wreck some shit.

Luvander will be heading wherever there appears to be wounded people, so he'll probably end up in the thick of it as well. He'll try to keep an eye out for his team, and I'd love to do some teamups to that effect, but yeah... he feels he's most useful where people are already getting hurt. Another Option 1.

Fai has a power that is 100% useless against anything AI, so he will be going for Option 2, helping lead the students to safety. Useless power against the security systems or not, do not fuck with his students.

Jack will be going for Option 2, since his main concern is keeping Jun and his other friends safe. He'll destroy anything that gets in the way of it, but that's the closest to pacifistic Jack gets.

Bigby is feeling gung-ho, he's going with Option 3 because they could probably use his strength to break down doors and he's ready to rip Sinister a new one. That is, if he's allowed. Otherwise he'll be taking Option 1.

Yuui will be going with Option 2, partly because his power isn't going to be of much use against the security system and partly because he takes the safety of his students very seriously.

His powers are very good for crowd control and calming people down so if there's anyone who's in need of something like that, hit me up.


...Speaking of people needing help calming down, Melinda is most likely going to end up in a complete panic. She may be getting better but her ptsd is still a major problem. So it's pretty likely that her reaction is going to be to try to get away and out, putting her in Option 1 territory, though not exactly in a very useful way, and in need in some help.

Shindou will be with X-Factor, wherever they end up. Honestly, since the Hellions are handling the sub-levels and X-Force is apparently taking point on SHIELD rescue, they should probably be on top of the whole student-protection-and-escort business, if the other Fabulous Hair kids are down with that? If so, they can pitch in if anyone needs their children saved or something!

Gilbert is probably more of a liability than anything, since the security systems don't give a shit about empathic manipulation. He might need his butt rescued.
