THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

Oh, me? I was born in York but I went to school in Cambridge.

Cambridge, is that England? There must be people here from every country. It is nice to see. I will try to meet as many different people as I can.

England, yes. I went to the University there. You're right, though. There's a lot of people here that are from all over the world.

I want to visit England someday. I'd like to see London. Where else do you think I should go?

That is why I came here, to meet people from all over and make friends with everyone.

I'd honestly suggest any of the castles, really! The handiwork done on them, despite the primitive time period, is fantastic.

I will see them, then! I like old buildings.

Have you ever been to St. Petersburg? The Winter Palace is very beautiful! It was built by Peter the Great. Though it has been rebuilt since then. There are many marvelous palaces in the city.

I haven't been there but I'd really like to visit! The onion domes are a sight to see, I'm certain. Not only do they have an original design but I'm sure the work put into it was well ahead of its time.

You should come someday. I will give you a place to stay.

It is very true! The most beautiful onion domes of all, I think, are on St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. They say Ivan the Terrible put out the eyes of the architect, so he could never make another one like it! And there is no other one like it.

But I do not like Moscow so well as St. Petersburg.

There will be a summer where we're both free and we could make the trip. As long as there's no trouble involved, at least.

[Mutants traveling seemed to be problematic and Shulk wasn't one to want to create those kinds of issues.]

Is there a reason why you prefer one over the other?

St. Petersburg is my home city, the city of my childhood. So I miss it when I am not there. It is also a cultural city, of art and history, very beautiful. It lies on the Baltic Sea, with the mighty Neva running through it. Because of this, the winters are not so harsh as in Moscow.

[Milder winters are very pleasant.]
