THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

I mean, I should probably mention that there're defs some people around who are into other crafts, too, but there's no reason you can't do both, right?

Quite right. There's no reason I cannot belong to two clubs after all.

Nah. I'm in two, too! That'd be a pretty dumb rule if we did have it, anyway, so I probably just wouldn't listen to it.

Good. I agree, it would be a ridiculous rule, and I do not believe in ridiculous rules.

What is the other club you are in?

I mean, there's fun-ridiculous and boring-ridiculous? And those are two totally different things.

I run Costume Club, and I'm... I guess technically some kind of co-adviser-thing now for the Gender and Sexual Diversity Student Union? Basically the LGBTQI-et-cetera rights club, but like, the name was getting long enough that we kind of decided to summarize a bit.

Gender and Sexual Diversity Student Union is still a bit of a mouthful, but much less so than trying to list everything. And it's succinct enough.

Yeah, but this way we can shorten it to GSD Union after we explain what it stands for, and then it's actually short without leaving anybody out by accident! I dunno, I think it sounds a little funny, but it's working out ok so far.

So what does the GSD Union do? I think my last school had a similar organization, but I never had a chance to see what they were involved with.

Most of the time? We just sort of hang out, and provide a safe space for LGBTQ students and allies where they don't have to worry what anybody's gonna think of them.

Me and Fai made cookies and stuff for Coming Out Day, and we should probably get something together for New York Pride... We talk about like, resources if they're struggling and advocating for change and all, too, but it's usually a pretty laid back kind of club.

That sounds like a really nice group. I might have to join that one as well. Everyone should have a place where they can feel safe and be themselves.

Yeah, that's pretty much the idea! We're all about the whole "being yourself" thing, whatever that is for people.
