Re: War Games Event

With recent drops, it has come to our attention that half of the War Games threads are permanently stalled.

With that being said, we want to give folks an opportunity to discuss the results of the War Games Round 1 battles, since it seems unlikely any of them will be threaded to completion. Just go ahead and use this post for that plotting purpose. Alliteration!

Uh. I don't care. Win, lose, it was all fun.

X-Factor was putting up a pretty good fight, but I have a feeling the Hellions would have won.

Agreed, honestly; not having an actual flyer put them at the disadvantage. :( Plus losing Shindou's link would've thrown them. Ah well. They gave it their best shot?

Yeah, X-Factor has a much bigger struggle getting up that face than the Hellions did, no matter what was going to happen.

Operation Angel Rescue vs Gene Nation

[personal profile] friendofdorothy 2015-06-05 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Last we heard:

-Krista is trying to emotion-blast Rin

-Skaar and Liir are racing for the top, with Kagerou behind

-Kaede is trying to bring down Skaar with her vectors

-Gregory is out

I like the idea of Gene Nation winning just so they can be confused and infuriated by the other team not getting all that down on it and congratulating each other on trying their best. Even better if they came upon them having a post-game pizza or something.

"Stop having fun this instant! Don't you know you're not allowed to anymore?!"

WRONG ACCOUNT NEVER YOU MIND

it seems the whole thing hinged on whether or not Kagerou biting Skaar's ankle would have slowed him down. Given it's Skaar, he could just as easily shrugged it off and dragged the wolf all the way to the proverbial finish line.

Good thing about Skaar (depending on who you ask) is that he's unpredictable so he could also have turned around to try and shake her off, depending on how we wanted this to end...though it's looking like the former option is going to be what we go with.

team 3 vs team 4

[personal profile] soccerwhisperer 2015-06-05 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Team 4 was going to ambush Team 3 but Team 3 has some degree of smoke and mirror skills??

No clue what the outcome would be but I'm okay with Team 3 losing since it was pretty much stacked against them

Gilberte was going to attack Team 3 with an army of miniature horrorterror monsters. They're awful and poisonous and hard to kill, and I am sorry for her awfulness.

After the combat, Gilberte will have little interest in the matter at hand, so she'll have to be kept motivated and kept in line. As long as the fighting keeps up, though, she'll be fine!

Gilberte would definitely be blinded by that! But then she wouldn't be able to control her monsters, and they would rampage.

I am sorry, Gilberte is super rude.

She can certainly be attacked, and she has no special defenses of her own, but once she makes her monsters, they have to be taken out separately.

At least these are the mini versions, and safety protocols are on!

General idea

[personal profile] eileaneathompson 2015-06-06 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe the Danger room glitches (we could maybe have a plot point down the line that explains why) before any team could win? Happening at different points in every combat?

Is there a list of drops split by teams?

Any thoughts on X-Force v. Guardian Dragons?

As far as I'm aware, it was still 2-on-2 headed for the top, but I think the only drop from between those teams was Mitsudata, who was on the ground with Marisa.

If I understood the situation right, I think Alric was ahead of Tiamaris, Flandre, and Reimu, when the gargoyles quieted down. All else being equal, he's going to keep plasma-jetting for the top, and trust Tiamaris to either follow or break off as he needs to do to keep himself under control.

Flandre tore a crater into the side of the tower to create a distraction with the dust and shrapnel; she still has enough power to do it at least once more.

--Wrong account but shhhh....It's still me XP--

Yeah, only Marisa was on the ground with Mitsudata and unless she was called on to run off and start throwing stars in the air again, she'd be highly occupied.

reimu player here; If it really comes to it, we can flip a coin, but there really isn't equality here since X-Force still had the experience edge. Reimu and Flandre were much more cohesive compared to Alric and Tiamaris.
knighterrantofthedragon: Alric looking aside pensively (pensive)

[personal profile] knighterrantofthedragon 2015-06-07 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
That's true! If there was any counter-advantage it was luck and a difference in tactical approach. In particular, if Tiamaris had to withdraw for an extended period and there was a lot more to be done with the key up on top besides just fetching it, Alric's tactical gamble would almost certainly backfire, since he'd then be alone against both of them and whatever else might be up there. Even with 2-on-2, though, Reimu and Flandre may have some extra advantage in that Alric and Tiamaris are both (I think) a bit hesitant to cut loose on people.

I'll check in with Tiamaris' player to see if there's any objection, but I suspect we're both okay with either doing something random (weighted in X-Force's favor or even) or calling it close or whatever you guys like.

Update: Tiamaris' player is OK with a random roll weighted 3-to-1 in X-Force's favor, if you want to do it that way, or even, or however!

http://orokos.com/roll/298532

rolled a 1d6, where 1 or 2 would equal Dragons victory, and got a 3, meaning X-Force captured the card first.

OK! I think we can definitely call it close but an X-Force win due to their advantages.
