Re: Hello
Joss' eyes bulged when she looked at the broken cirkets, and case. Her eyes swiveled down to the cat woman's claws and wrist. She imagined those claws could rip her neck out and that an ax would brake on those wrist.
"We'll I'll be. Truth is I ain't fixen this thang twnight. It's too broken But do ya gotta laptop or sometun? Ya can use micrasoft excel to do ya calculaten ya know?"
Re: Hello
Xat-Cerxis looked awkward. "Well, my friend Viti told me not to touch it. Not until a new keyboard is made by teacher. It has metal buttons!" She explained. "Besides," Xat-Cerxis said. "I am learning how to write! See!" she said picking up a loose pencil and drawing on a paper scrap. She colored it in with bright colored pencils. Lifting it up, she showed it was a llama with her name 'Cerxis' below it. Every letter of her name was a different shade. Then she bit her lip and looked thoughtful. "My grandfather had a counting-spindle. With knots," she said hoping to be helpful. "If you have rope and sticks, I can make one of those!"
Re: Hello
Then suddenly, she laughed.
"Now that's that the funnies thang i've heard in a long time. Miss Cerxis you're all right. Come on have a seat. I'm gonna get ya'll fixed up."
Re: Hello
Re: Hello
Joss jumped in the chair before her computer, typed the word "spindle" in a google search engine.
"Wow. It don't get much lower tech than that. But I got this."
At the snap of her fingers a diamond shaped object in the corner suddenly stood up on its bottom point and levitated into the air. The object floated to Joss' side and opened its self up, from the bottom like it were a living tool box. The robot was full of items ranging from first aid kits, to gas mask, to tear gas.
She put her hands in the equipment. Her hand went over her lasso and came down on a roll of wire. "I can't spare none of my rope, but this here wire ain't too hard to tie." She turned back to Cerxis "Can you hand me those pencils? Cause then all we need is sometin like a disk and we're good to go."
Joss rubbed her chin in thought. "But what do I got that's circular?"
Re: Hello
Re: Hello
Joss offered wire to the levitating robot, and it opened its four fingered clamp of a hand. The robot floated to Cerxis.
"Now don't be afraid of old tornado. She's a friendly robot. She'll hold your wire nice an tight, why ya work. Just be sure to untie that wire when your done with your calculaltin, ok?"
Re: Hello
Re: Hello
She stood with a blank stare. It was a world apart from the sophisticated technology she grew up with, and yet she could not call it primitive.
When she was handed the piece of paper it crumpled slightly in her grip as her eyes darted over it.
"Sorry hun, but these here problem with the Xs are multiplication, and these here with lines are division. Ya got um mixed up but..."
Joss' eyes darted over the paper again, stopping to look up into her mind. Several times she whipped out her smart phone and tapped buttons, duplicating the problems on her calculator app.
"For what ya were doin, ya gotta um all right, cept..."
Joss looked over the wires again. "What were ya doin?"
Re: Hello
Re: Hello
She shook her head a little so she could speak again.
"Wow. That's mighty sophisticated fer somethin that's got no electricity.I guess tech comes in all forms." Joss looked up to Cerxis.
"Can ya show me more?"
Re: Hello
Re: Hello
Joss smiled after her statement to show she ment no offence. She then brought her gaze back to Cerxis' work.
"Can I try now?"
