troubled students, hm? even ones who are complete headaches to deal with? Soren fits that bill! Or at least he can, if you want a student who will be likely to insist that he's totally fine now can he go... He's been busy for the past several months trying to get caught up to his age group in schooling, so he's probably done his best to avoid any sort of counseling, but that could change.

I would actually love CR with Soren; for one thing, Caelius has dragon physiology as part of his powers as well, though his involve a greater amount of shapeshifting than Soren's do. REGARDLESS, he's got some scales that never disappear, which he usually keeps covered up by his clothes. That could be something they talk about together, maybe?

Yesss. I was just reading his app to learn more about him, and they should clearly talk about the proper care and cleaning of scales at some point. Or something. I'm not sure, but that definitely could be!

I was wondering if it might make Soren a little more liable to talk... Caelius doesn't really like discussing his own issues much, but they have some similar experiences, so he'll do it if it'll help a wary kid open up.

Actually -- yeah, it probably will help. At least about some of the issues he has with being a mutant, anyway. There are some things he's not liable to tell anyone without having complete trust in them. But understanding that he isn't as alone in certain things than he thought is a definite good start.

Oh, definitely! But a first step is a first step. This can definitely be a thing once the game starts.
