THE TEST DRIVE MEME

Hello, True Believers!

This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun!

[Well, Eren doesn't know how old he is, but he's probably to young to have killed Eren's mom. Though he might be one of those creepy mutants who look younger than they are, so he's still a suspect! Even if he is acting nice.]

You don't have to keep apologizing! You didn't know about it. Besides, I don't care what mutants think.

For one thing, I don't want to use my power. And no, they won't let me go back ever. That's what they said!

But why?? That doesn't make any sense... This is a school, not a prison! [ He's free to leave at any time isn't he...? He was told this school was supposed to be good, a place where mutants could learn in peace. He's never heard of anyone being kept against their will. ]

Well... they said I was being endangered, but I wasn't. They're lying! And it is a prison, to me.

Is that the only reason they want you where though?? Like, why did they think you were endangered?

Because they're dumb! They don't understand anything. I live with the Friends of Humanity, and they think they're bad people, but they're not.

Isn't that like...that group of people no one really likes because they're really rude and mean and stuff? [ Son, why are you in jeopardy. Don't associate with the mean people. ]

[garganteren]

No, they're not! They looked after me after my parents died. They're my family!

They just care about humanity a lot. There's nothing wrong with that.

They're in the news for a lot of not-good stuff though...right? I mean--maybe not your folks. But there's a lotta people with them who do bad stuff isn't there?

[garganteren]

Some of them are... In the news, I mean. But people just say things about them that aren't true. The media's biased.

But these mutants couldn't mind their own business, and they thought that because I was a mutant I couldn't stay with them!

[sugoooi]

Don't those people sort of, like...hate mutants? [ Is that really the best place for you... ]

Yeah, of course!

But they don't hate me, they just hate that I became a monster.

They're my family, of course they love me! And I love them. They want what's best for me—not this. So why should I be taken away from them? It isn't fair.

Ahh, that's a relief... I was worried--you have really great parents! You're lucky. I heard a lot aren't like that. [ Granted his own are part of the minority who actually didn't mind and more wanted a better life for Sam than anything else, but. ]

I don't understand why they'd want to keep you away from a family that loves you no matter what...

Yeah, see, they are great!

I don't get it either. We should have the right to live our lives like we want! The news media's always calling us extremists and stuff, but this is America, and everyone has the right to their own beliefs.

--So long as they don't infringe upon the rights and freedoms of others! [ Yeah ABOUT THOSE DETAILS... ]

My rights weren't being infringed on, so they should send me back!

And yeah... it's not like they hurt any mutants, they just don't like them. People do have the right not to like other people.

But they like you...so that's one mutant! [ Sam's taking this as there being hope for the FoH. ] You're not so bad. Don't beat yourself up.

Yeah...

[He actually feels a bit conflicted, BUT he can't be a hypocrite! He must remain true to his ideals. He can't be given a free pass just because they care about him. He knows that. Not when humanity itself is at stake!]

I am a dangerous mutant. I shouldn't be allowed to endanger innocent members of society.
