[As someone is actually asking mild questions about his statement, it's hard for Eren to get mad. He's not exactly impressed, but he is at least confused.]

People do get guns without registering them, but they're criminals. There are going to be people who break any law. That's no reason not to make the law. It's like saying, oh people are going to commit murder, so why have a law against it?

[Eren is also a super great arguer, in case you haven't noticed.]

Okay, so maybe guns aren't the best example. Since they're guns and not people. But mutants can hurt people, more than a normal person can. So we should do something about it. That's why I support the MRA. It's not perfect, but it's a start!

Okay but like! What if your power doesn't hurt people? Like...you are super-good and holding your breath!! I don't think they can hurt anyone better than a normal person doing that. Or if you can make your toenails grow or something... [ These are really stupid super-powers but try to look past that. ]

Oh! And people like karate and kung-fu Masters?! [ He actually mimes out the whole pointed-palm thing when he talks and holds up his arms. ] Maybe you're super-good at fighting! And you could probably beat up anyone you wanted! Like better than a normal person. They're more dangerous right?? But we don't ask them to register. [ .... ] Except if you're a black belt, I think. Then your hands are classified as weapons...

Ahh yeah, that's true.

[Eren isn't a horrible person, he just has horrible opinions. He doesn't want little kids who can make rainbows and people like that to be hurt.]

But they have to test people first and find out what their power is. Maybe if it really doesn't hurt people, they can erase them from the list. Or the public version! Like if you commit a crime when you're a kid, and they take it off the record. Maybe that would work?

See? If people are like that, like black belts, the government knows about them. Like how they track people they think are terrorists, even if they haven't done anything wrong. Mutants act like humans don't get tracked, too, if they might be trouble. But it's the same thing! I knew people who were on the watch list! Why should mutants get a free pass?

Well, I think having a list of people to watch who haven't done anything bad is a little strange even for normal people... I heard if you have more than seven days' worth of food in your house, the government can watch you because it makes you suspicious! Or like if you have a bomb shelter in your backyard...

But it happens all the time! So why should it happen to regular people but not mutants? The way things are now, the government can watch someone who has a lot of food in their house, like you said, but not someone who can blow up a city with their mind!

Well...I think if they want to watch someone with seven days worth of food in their house it should matter if they're a mutant or not? [ He's like, really focused on this one okay. THAT'S SO MUCH FOOD... ] If you have a shelter you're supposed to fill it with food to last you a long time though so...maybe watching people for that isn't really a good idea. Because then you'd just starve!

I don't know... I don't think they should waste time watching anyone who isn't really dangerous! But if someone is, then people should know about it. Even if it's not a public list, though keeping the public informed would be the best!

We had shelters like that back where I'm from. They did have a lot of food, only it had to be special kinds of food that keep for a long time.

Isn't there a movie about that? Like, one guy sees the future where all this bad stuff is gonna happen like war and plague and stuff, but because he showed it to everyone they bombed the people who were gonna bomb them first and created the war and when people started getting sick they shoved them all together and created the plague they were worried about!

That doesn't make any sense! There's nothing wrong with knowing things. We've got to know who might be a threat, or how are we supposed to help protect people? If that's a movie, it's a dumb one!

I don't want anyone to be mean about them. I want citizens to be protected, and that's what the MRA is for. Some people just make it sound bad to discredit it, so it won't get made a law.

Anyway, mutants are citizens too so if we're going to make give them an MRI [ that's the wrong word Sam ] then it should be good for them too.

It's not about being good for everyone, it's about identifying dangerous threats to protect innocent people! But it is for the good of mutants, I guess. It'll help control the dangerous ones, and the other ones will look more reasonable if they cooperate.
